US election 2020: Postal service warns of mail ballot delays

A California man has been charged with mail in voter fraud for casting ballots in his mother’s name for three elections.

Caesar Peter Abutin was charged last month with one count of fraud and one count of fraudulent voting. He has confessed to voting in his mother’s name in three elections.

I am assuming he is a Democrat, as the dead always vote for Democrats.

…So much for safe and secure voting.

Trump recently said:

“I have to tell you, that if you go with this universal mail-in … tens of millions of ballots being sent to everybody and their dogs, dogs are getting them, OK? People that have been dead for 25 years are getting them, you have to see what’s happening. Then you’re never going to have a fair election.”

Currently there are about ten states who send ballots to every eligible voter but the Democrats are trying to increase that number to all 57 states. They also want ballot harvesting and a 200,000 vote head start in every election.

Trump has been taking steps to try to put the poorly run postal system back in the Black and his new postmaster was working towards that but has now decided to make the changes after the election to avoid even the appearance of being as corrupt as Pelosi and et al.

President Trump says that there is plenty of money allotted for them post office but what Pelosi really wants from the con game she is running is money to bail out poorly run Democratic cities and states.

Trump also said he would support extending voting to include the weekend before Election Day and adding additional voting booths to ease crowding. “I would support all of that. That’s what you want to do,” Trump said. “I would be for opening more voting booths.

And the president said he’s OK with absentee voting. “I totally support that,” Trump responded. “That’s a great thing.”

The United States Agency for International Development released a Review of the Policy that prevents taxpayer dollars from going toward international organizations that perform or promote abortion, quoting President Trump that the U.S. will “never tire of defending innocent life.”

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) released a report Tuesday, reviewing the success of the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance (PLGHA) Policy, which ensures that U.S. taxpayer funding is withheld from international organizations who promote or perform abortions.

The PLGHA Policy was enacted by the Trump Administration in 2017. After he entered office, Trump restored the Mexico State Policy – a policy first enacted in 1984 under the Reagan Administration to prevent global organizations promoting abortion from receiving taxpayer money.

After being declared constitutional, the policy has since been revoked and reinstated over the course of five different presidents since Reagan. Clinton overturned it in 1993, Bush reinstated it in 2001, and Obama overturned it in 2009.

President Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy as soon as he assumed office, but he went further in enacting the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy. The PLGHA Policy “requires foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that receive global health assistance…to agree that they will not perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.”

“As the world’s largest bilateral donor to global health programs,” USAID wrote in a statement regarding the Review, “the United States remains committed to helping women and children thrive…”

Acting Administrator of USAID announced the publishing of the Review via Twitter:

“The U.S. Government is committed to protecting human life before and after birth,” this Review proclaims.

Of the 1,340 eligible to receive funding from USAID, the Review reported that only 8 declined to agree to the Policy.

Of those 8 that declined to agree, 3 reported that there was a disruption in health care services as a direct result of their declination. In the other 5 cases, however, there was no “disruption of health care or significant delays in the provision of services” and there was a successful transition of activities to other partners.

The Review also called attention to International Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes International – two of the largest organizations fighting for a global right to abortion. Both organizations forfeited their ability to receive global health assistance due to their abortion advocacy.

USAID pointed to the pro-life dedication of President Donald Trump in the release of the Review, agreeing with his statement that the United States will “never tire of defending innocent life.”

Orangutan found on palm oil plantation returned to the wild

A Bornean orangutan found on an Indonesian palm plantation has been rescued and returned to the forest, a conservation group said on Wednesday, the latest example of how habitat loss is piling pressure on the critically endangered animal in the wild.

The male orangutan, named “Boncel” and estimated to be 30- to 40-years-old, was found in a plantation in the Indonesian portion of Borneo island with four other orangutans in early August, International Animal Rescue (IAR) said in a statement.

“We found five orangutans (in the area) and we managed to relocate four of them back into the wild, except this male orangutan that still remained in the plantation,” said Andiri Nurillah, a veterinarian working for the Indonesian arm of IAR.

The great ape was darted with a tranquilizer at the plantation in Ketapang, West Kalimantan province, before being put in a cage and taken by motor boat on a river to a safer area in the forest.

Boncel was in good condition when found, apart from a fractured finger and other minor injuries, said Nurillah, adding that his move had gone smoothly.

The release came soon after two other Bornean orangutans were rescued from captivity on Java island and sent to a rehabilitation center on Borneo to assess whether they can be released back into the wild.

Only around 100,000 Bornean orangutans are estimated to be left in the wild, according to the World Wildlife Fund, with the population crashing by more than 50 percent over the past 60 years.

The animals have suffered from illegal poaching, as well as destruction of habitat due to large-scale logging and replacement of forests with cash crops such as palm oil.

Republican Mike Garcia just shocked the world and humiliated Nancy Pelosi on her home turf.

He just won a special election in California for the House seat held by Dem Katie Hill. For the GOP to take back this seat, in California with all that is going is a terrible sign for Pelosi.

They will spin this loss but they cannot afford to lose a lot of these swing districts or even GOP districts they stole in 2018. Moreover, Pelosi’s performance of late is pissing off her liberal base.

They think she gave a gift to Wall Street in the stimulus bills and they have a point – Pelosi has been promising the left she will get what they want in the next bill, etc. She is running out of time and the left may be running out of patience with her iron-fisted rule.

“Big Congressional win in California for Mike Garcia, taking back a seat from the Democrats,” Trump wrote. “This is the first time in many years that a California Dem seat has flipped back to a Republican.”

Garcia defeated Democrat candidate Christy Smith by 12 points in the special election for the seat previously held by Democrat Rep. Katie Hill who resigned in disgrace in October 2019.

In Wisconsin, Republican Tom Tiffany easily beat Democrat Tricia Zunker by 15 points for the seat vacated by Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI).

“Tom Tiffany beat his Democrat rival BIG in Wisconsin,” Trump wrote. “Two great Congressional WINS!”

Trump endorsed both candidates.

McKeon described the beginning of a broader effort by Republicans to find their way back into office in California, a state the Democrats have dominated for many years recently, suggesting this is the beginning of something bigger.

With 76 percent reporting according to the New York Times, Garcia held a commanding nearly 12-point lead over Democrat Christy Smith in the special election.

Assuming that late-reporting votes do not change the overall result, an outcome that seems unlikely at this stage but not yet final or certain given the peculiar nature of California’s mail-in voting system, this would be the first time that a Republican has taken back a congressional seat lost to Democrats in 22 years in California.

Republicans had held this seat for many years, but in 2016, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton won the district by several percentage points over President Donald Trump.

While former Rep. Steve Knight (R-CA) held the seat that year despite Clinton’s strong performance in the district, Knight ended up losing in 2018 in the midterm elections to now-former Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA). Hill, whose sex scandals involving staffers caught national attention, was forced to resign, setting up this special election in which Garcia appears to be the likely winner.
