The 40th year of the Camel Wrestling Festival has taken place in Turkey last week. This event takes place annually and thousands of people attend. This year, 152 camels wore saddles and cloths on their humps. The camels wear muzzles to prevent them from using their teeth on each other but nonetheless they fight in sandy areas for everyone to watch. There are referees present as well. The audience sets up tables to barbecue and celebrate the event on the sidelines. This event draws criticism nearly every year from animal rights groups since the camels endure abuse and many injuries during the event. The festival is even being called a criminal act.
The camels are also paraded through the streets for a “pageant” before the festival. They are not only being abused by wrestling but also exploited for the entertainment of humans. Allegedly, the camels are separated if things get too intense. It is said the camels cannot actually injure each other but, why in the world are camels wrestling? It should not happen at all. The festival organizers excuse the acts by saying it is a tradition and because the event has successfully gone on for years, it should not be stopped. This is not an excuse to put the camels through such abuse for the 40th year in a row.

Your support of this inhumane camel wrestling festival is unacceptable. An animal rights activist group has clearly expressed their concerns and yet, no one has spoken to them about the festival. It is wrong and the camels are in extreme danger due to the actions of the people participating in this event. You have the responsibility to listen to the opposition and ultimately keep your animals safe, and we demand you try to understand the perspective of those who oppose the event. Although it is a tradition, that does not mean it is right. Camels are being exploited and used for entertainment and that is unfair, unsafe, and inhumane. You must listen to the people who disagree and see the wrongdoings of the event. Think about the camels and how they do not deserve this abuse year after year.
Goal: Seek maximum penalty for kennel owner who reportedly abused and neglected dogs.
Dozens of dogs were reportedly confined to small cages and left outside in the snow by kennel owner John Jones. The weather in Michigan dropped to below zero resulting in the water supply freezing, thus apparently leaving the dogs with no drinking water. The dogs reportedly exhibited extreme distress due to lack of exercise. One dog was apparently found dead with straw in his mouth. Jones allegedly did not know the dog had died. Forty dogs were removed from the kennel and Jones is charged with four counts of felony cruelty abuse to animals and three counts misdemeanor.
Multiple complaints were filed regarding the property for months. Several protests were held outside of the sheriff’s office. PETA also accused the property of being a puppy mill. They demanded an investigation against the property and Jones. The department had an open investigation since December. All the living dogs were thankfully rescued and are now safe. They are getting the warmth, care, and safety that they deserved all along.
Jones being charged for alleged abuse is a step in the right direction, but he must suffer consequences if found guilty. Animal abuse is a huge issue that occurs all over the world with many getting away with it. If Jones is convicted and harshly punished, others can see that animal abuse is a real crime that will come with legal consequences.

We must make sure John Jones is held accountable for the extreme animal abuse he allegedly caused. Although it is a step in the right direction that he was charged, he must also be made to face real consequences if he is found guilty. One of my followers asked about walls being installed around the White House, I knew they were temporary walls and discovered they are refurbishing the fountains, they worked on one this pass summer and now they’re working on the other one this winter. They have been doing extensive work on the streets surrounding the White House, they’re digging up the street and laying pipes, etc.

This is not a wooden structure, the White House was totally gutted in 1953 during the Truman administration and a huge framework of large and strong skyscraper-type I-beams were erected on the inside from two basement levels below all the way to the top. This will take quite a bit of work to demolish. One iconic photograph is an inside shot of the gutted interior (no floors remaining, just a huge 85ft by 165 ft space) with a huge bulldozer on the ground floor. Yes, it’s true the exterior walls are the same as when it was first built, but they are only a facade. If it’s true that we are seeing explosions inside the White house, then they must be placed to cut through the steel beams just like any building demolition.
McCOOL JUNCTION, NE—The Guinness World Records confirmed on Monday that local man, Jeremy Humdrum, has set a new record for the least amount of trips by a husband to Home Depot for a single project.
Sources say the project was to replace three outlets in a kitchen. Humdrum had compiled a list of materials he would need, but every time he came back from Home Depot he found himself missing just one more crucial component. “One time I accidentally bought light switches instead of outlets,” he laughed. “But I pulled it off in the end!”
Friends and family of Jeremy gathered to watch as he ascended to “legendary” status before their eyes. The DIY project was completed 9 hours after it had begun and the house erupted in cheers and applause. Friends shook beer bottles and sprayed the contents all over Jeremy in celebration.
Jeremy’s wife, Tracy Humdrum, had a different view of the event. “I kept telling him that if he ordered ahead through the website he would only have to make one trip,” she said, rolling her eyes. “But he kept saying he had to be able to browse.”
Daryl Philman, an adjudicator for Guinness World Records, followed the handy husband around all day to verify the record. “I’ve been out on similar record-breaking attempts,” he said. “It was really hard to bite my tongue when Mr. Humdrum only bought panel covers instead of the full outlet, but my silence was the only way to maintain the integrity of the record.”
The kitchen now has three brand new GFCI outlets and thirty items that were never used. The adjudicator will be staying on for a couple of days to see if Jeremy can beat another world record: most time bragging about a DIY project in a 24 hour period.

Two proposals are being considered in California to provide “free” health care coverage to all the illegal aliens in the state. Surprisingly Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is supporting the more moderate and incremental one.
Under Governor Newsom’s plan, Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program, would be expanded to cover anyone under 138 percent of the federally-defined poverty level, regardless of citizenship or immigration status, or age. Since 2020, Medi-Cal has covered illegal aliens under the age of 26. Based on legislation that passed in 2021, Medi-Cal will cover illegal aliens aged 50 and over beginning in May. Governor Newsom’s plan would fill in the remaining age gap, covering illegal aliens between ages 26 and 49.
Governor Newsom claims his plan would be funded entirely from a surplus of revenues surging back after the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic and it would not require additional taxpayer monies. However, given California’s track record, additional monies will likely be needed – especially in the further out years. The state heavily relies on its top income earners to pay its high personal income and capital-gains taxes. In 2019, the top one percent of wage earners paid nearly 45 percent of all the state’s income tax collections. Yet, in 2021, more than 367,000 people left California for other states. This is greater than a full one percent of the state’s population. Left behind is an ever-larger population of illegal aliens who take vastly more from the state’s tax coffers than they pay. As people and businesses continue to flee the state, it will be difficult to maintain a budget surplus and California will have to either impose new taxes or cut spending on these generous benefits.
In contrast to Governor Newsom’s Medi-Cal expansion, California’s more “progressive” lawmakers are backing Assembly Bill (AB) 1400. Sponsored by Assemblyman Ash Kalra (D-San Jose), California would adopt a “single-payer” healthcare system, called CalCare, which is somewhat similar to the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. Under CalCare, almost all private and employer-provided health insurance would be eliminated. Health care services would be “free” at the point of delivery and available to everyone in the state, including illegal aliens.
To fund the CalCare plan, California’s tax burden, which is among the top two or three highest in the country, would skyrocket further. The cost estimate is $163 billion. Supporters of AB 1400 plan to fund it with tax hikes that would require a state constitutional amendment approved by the voters. According to some experts, taxes in the state could nearly double.
Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Bakersfield), the Vice-Chair of the Assembly Budget Committee, condemned both plans saying “[t]he mentality that success is defined by how much is spent instead of by real, measurable, and actual results is mindboggling … Californians are living a different reality seeing problems only getting worse.”
FAIR estimated in 2017 that California already spent over $17 billion a year on benefits for more than 2.6 million illegal aliens, or over $6500 annually per taxpayer. Either of these proposals would increase the costs dramatically.

Substitutions

Making this vegan vegetable soup on the stove is really easy:

The retired lieutenant-colonel said the man punched his wife in the face, and also claimed the attack was racially and culturally motivated after the man called his wife a “white slut” and a “white whore.”
However criticism that he has received about the incident on Facebook persuaded him to set the record straight on the incident. He confirmed that the men were Muslim and said he would “do it again in a heartbeat”.
His response was published on the Stand Up For Australia – Melbourne Facebook page, where he argued he had no other option but to fight.
Mr Tyrrell claimed the Muslim man took offense to being told what to do by a woman and unleashed a tirade of abuse at her, but the fact that she ignored him only enraged him even more.
“His mates got close to me and then he made a run for my wife, that’s when I ran at him, he threw a punch which I ducked and the fight started. At no time could either my wife, daughter or I safely walk away,” Mr Tyrrell wrote.
“At that point five more joined the fight, one punching my wife as she attempted to get our daughter up the beach.”
At one stage one of the men said to his wife, “Your husband needs to teach you a lesson.”
“I would do the same thing again in a heartbeat, in fact I would do the same thing for any woman I saw in that situation not just my wife,” he said.
In an interview with the Herald Sun, Tyrrell said, “I was just protecting my wife and daughter, like any man.”

Legislation being moved through the House and Senate by congressional Democrats will stand up for the “inviolability of borders” in Ukraine, while the party largely ignores the border security situation at the porous U.S. border.
The “Defending Ukraine Sovereignty Act,” introduced last week, calls for a briefing to congressional committees that includes a plan “to bolster support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders…”
The legislation, which would also impose sanctions on Russia if it invades or undermines Ukrainian sovereignty, comes amid growing tensions in the region. Russia has amassed tens of thousands of troops on the Ukrainian border ahead of what many fear is an imminent invasion of the U.S. ally.
The bill marks the latest muscular demonstration of support from lawmakers and officials in Washington, D.C., on the importance of Ukraine’s border. Jonathan Finer, a White House deputy national security adviser, was asked on CNN why Americans should care about what is happening in Ukraine.
“Because it goes to a very fundamental principle of all nations, that our borders should be inviolate, that our sovereignty should be respected,” he said.
The statements immediately drew comparisons with what is going on at the southern border, where congressional Democrats have supported the rolling back of border security measures and further restrictions on interior enforcement.

The only problem is she was talking about Ukraine's borders, not America's borders.
Hundreds of thousands of migrants have hit the U.S. border in the last year, with 178,840 encounters in December alone. While many have been returned via the Trump-era Title 42 public health protections, others have instead been released into the U.S., often within hours of arriving at the border.
Congressional Democrats have supported the rolling back of the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), the ending of border wall construction, have called for investigations into Border Patrol agents who stopped migrants from entering the country illegally, and have called for the ending of Title 42. A number of Democrats have also pushed for either the rolling back of interior enforcement or the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Biden administration has dramatically restricted ICE’s ability to arrest illegal immigrants in the U.S. interior.
The difference in positions on Ukrainian and American borders has drawn criticism from Republicans and immigration hawks. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., noted comments by Vice President Kamala Harris, who told reporters that America “respect[s] the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and we expect Russia to do the same.”
“The only problem is she was talking about Ukraine’s border, not America’s borders,” Boebert quipped.
However, the situations at the southern U.S. border and the Ukrainian border are also very different. More than 100,000 Russian troops have amassed at the Ukrainian border, and a military invasion could be imminent – a threat the U.S. is not facing.
RJ Hauman, head of government relations at the Federation for American Immigration Reform, conceded that “you can’t directly compare a flood of lethal drugs and economic migrants to the Russian military.”
“But when fentanyl coming across our southern border is killing American adults 18-45 more than anything else and China is undoubtedly our biggest threat, this effort is certainly worthy of outrage,” he said.
Hauman accused the White House and congressional Democrats of avoiding using similar language on the U.S. border and U.S. sovereignty, and of being “very serious about Ukraine’s borders but … wholly disinterested in preserving ours.”
“Ukraine is a nation state. The United States is a nation state. Nation states need borders. They must control those borders to preserve those borders,” he said. “It’s that simple.”
News of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s intention to retire comes after months of pressure from the left to hang up his robe in time for President Biden to name his replacement.
“There’s no question that Justice Breyer, for whom I have great respect, should retire at the end of this term,” Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., said last spring, just months after Biden took office. “My goodness, have we not learned our lesson?”

The lesson Jones was hoping Breyer had learned from was the story of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who famously resisted calls to retire during former President Barack Obama’s tenure, opening the door for former President Donald Trump to choose her replacement upon her death in 2020.
Ginsburg’s death made Breyer the oldest member of the court at 83, a fact not lost on many progressives when Biden won the 2020 election.
“I believe Representative Jones has a point, and we have had very difficult experiences with making the opposite mistake,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said when asked last year about the prospect of Breyer retiring.
Asked specifically if she thought Breyer should step aside, Ocasio-Cortez said she was “inclined to say yes.”

Breyer also faced pressure from legal scholars, including a letter that was signed by 18 academics last year calling on him to step aside. Erwin Chemerinsky, the dean of the University of California at Berkeley School of Law, penned his own op-ed pleading for Breyer to announce his retirement.
“Breyer shouldn’t even wait for the 2022 midterms to retire,” Chemerinsky said last year in the Washington Post. “With a 50-50 Senate, anything is possible: Something could happen to a Democratic senator in a state with a Republican governor, who would then pick the replacement and throw the majority back to Republicans.”
Progressive activist organizations also joined in on the chorus, with 13 groups such as Black Lives Matter and Women’s March launching a joint effort calling for his retirement.
“Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer should immediately announce his intent to retire from the bench,” said an ad paid for by the groups. “If Breyer were replaced by an additional ultra-conservative justice, an even further-right Supreme Court would leave our democracy and the rights of marginalized communities at even greater risk.
“For the good of the country, now is the time to step aside,” the ad continued.
Breyer mostly stayed silent on his plans despite the immense pressure, saying that he would “eventually” step aside.
“I mean, eventually I’ll retire, sure I will,” Breyer told Slate last year. “And it’s hard to know exactly when.”

WASHINGTON (TND) — Part of a rocket launched by a popular American aerospace company has gone off course and will reportedly crash into the moon in March.
SpaceX, founded by Tesla CEO and American entrepreneur Elon Musk, launched a rocket out of Florida back in Feb. 2015 as part of a mission to send a space-weather satellite a million miles away, according to meteorologist Eric Berger, writing for Ars Technica.
“Lagrange points are positions in space where objects sent there tend to stay put,” NASA says. “At Lagrange points, the gravitational pull of two large masses precisely equals the centripetal force required for a small object to move with them. These points in space can be used by spacecraft to reduce fuel consumption needed to remain in position.”

After completing the initial long burn of its engines to send the satellite to a Lagrange Point, the detached second stage of the rocket reportedly became derelict. Experts strongly believe the rocket part will soon be crashing into the moon, as it did not escape Earth’s gravitational pull.
“So it has been following a somewhat chaotic orbit since February 2015,” Berger writes about the wayward rocket part.

Space junk can be a little tricky. I have a fairly complete mathematical model of what the earth, moon, sun, and planets are doing and how their gravity is affecting the object,” Gray writes. “I have a rough idea of how much sunlight is pushing outward on the object, gently pushing it away from the sun. This usually enables me to make predictions with a good bit of confidence.
Gray says in the blog he predicts the rocket part will crash into the moon on March 4 around 12:25 p.m. He says the impact will probably be unobservable because, well, the moon will be in the way.
Berger and Gray both believe the crash could provide valuable data. Gray even says he is “rooting” for a lunar impact”.
“We already know what happens when junk hits the Earth; there’s not much to learn from that,” Gray says.
“This information is important because it will allow satellites presently orbiting the Moon… to collect observations about the impact crater,” Berger says. “Although scientists are most keen to understand the presence of ice at the lunar poles, being able to observe the subsurface material ejected by the Falcon 9 rocket’s strike could still provide some valuable data.”
CHESTER COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Michele Fallon, of Danville, Pennsylvania, the woman who came into close contact with an escaped lab monkey on the side of a Chester County interstate, is now saying she has developed pink eye-like symptoms and is now on preventative medication.
A truck hauling 100 macaque monkeys from Africa was headed to a lab in Missouri when it collided with a dump truck Friday at Route 54 and Interstate 80 in Valley Township.
Michele Fallon, of Danville, said she pulled over to help the driver when the animal hissed in her face.
“I thought I was just doing the right thing by helping — I had no idea it would turn out this way,” said Fallon. “He just asked if his trailer was okay. He never said, ‘if you do come near a crate do not touch it,’ if he would have told me that, I would have been more careful,” reports Fox8.
That’s when she came face-to-face with an agitated monkey.
Three monkeys in all escaped during the ordeal. During the search, officials warned the public not to come near the monkeys because they could transmit disease.
“I was close to the monkeys, I touched the crates, I walked through their feces so I was very close. So I called to inquire, you know, was I safe?” said Fallon.
Since the monkeys, which have since been accounted for, were not quarantined and monitored, the CDC told Fallon she needed to take precautions because she was in close contact.
According to the CDC, the species commonly spreads herpes virus B through saliva, feces or urine.
Fallon says she grew concerned because she has an open cut on her hand and developed pink eye-like symptoms, so she went to the emergency room.
She just received her first dose of rabies vaccine and a round of antiviral medication.
“Because the monkey did hiss at me and there were feces around, and I did have an open cut, they just want to be precautious,” said Fallon.
Fallon will be on preventative medicine for about two weeks.
The USDA is now investigating the incident after PETA filed a complaint. The animal rights organization put out a statement today urging the United States to stop importing monkeys for experiments.

Following his prepared remarks, near the 8-minute mark of the live stream, members of the press began shouting questions, hoping for the president to take a few before they were shown the door by White House staff.
Biden knocked the first reporter, who asked about the administration’s call with European leaders as tensions between Russia and Ukraine rise.
“The only reason I don’t like doing is this because you never report on why it’s called a meeting because you never report on why I’ve called a meeting, and this is important” Biden said. “I had a very, very, very good meeting, totally unanimity with all the European leaders will talk about a lady. Thank you. Thank you.”
“Will you take questions on inflation then?” Doocy then asked. “Do you think inflation will be a political liability ahead of the midterms?”
As Doocy and the other reporters were being shooed away, Biden took a swipe at the Fox News correspondent.
“That’s a great asset, more inflation. What a stupid son of a b—-,” Biden said to his cabinet.
Early in his administration, Biden warned his staff to show colleagues and members of the press with respect.
“I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect or talk down to someone, I promise you, I will fire you on the spot — on the spot. No ifs ands or buts,” Biden said. “Everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity.”
Goal: Move Lolita the orca out of a seemingly abusive and neglectful aquarium.
Lolita the orca is approximately 20 feet long, yet she has lived in an enclosure that is too small for 50 years. It is the smallest and oldest enclosure for her kind and the tank may not meet the minimum horizontal dimension as outlined in the federal Animal Welfare Act. It is completely inhumane to keep an animal that swims up to 100 miles in one day in such a cramped area for so many years. A dolphin named Catalina lived in the enclosure with Lolita and that reportedly resulted in her death, as a killer whale and a dolphin should not be in the same living space.
Lolita’s meal rations were allegedly diminished, resulting in her being more one edge as usual. She apparently developed lesions on her eyes which can result from performing under the sun with little to no shade. She has also reportedly been forced to perform headfirst jumps while having an injured jaw. The United States Department of Agriculture is investigating amid the deaths and the apparently unsafe infrastructure at the aquarium. PETA has an ongoing lawsuit against the aquarium to hopefully free Lolita.

The Miami Seaquarium needs to be held responsible for the apparent inhumane conditions Lolita has been facing. The enclosure she has been in is reportedly unacceptable for an orca or any animal. Lolita deserves the right meal rations, a safe place to live and swim, and the right treatment when she is injured. Lolita should not be performing when she is injured or under the sun with no shade, seemingly resulting in even more injuries. Lolita deserves to be moved to a place where she will be treated correctly.
Please give Lolita her freedom after so many years of seemingly being treated inhumanely. Treat all your animals with the respect and correct care that they deserve and are meant to have.
