I love a great vacation. Almost 2 weeks skiing in Austria at a 4 starts hotel is an amazing one. 245 cm of snow is more that I dreamed.

Our hotel Thermal Badhotel Kirchler is situated near Hintertux Glacier where you can ski all year long. Has a pool, sauna, excellent service and amazing good food. But, too much food. Even with all the skiing and snowboarding, at the end they serve you too much food. And you eat, because is good and you can’t stop.

So, coming back home, it is time to detox. My detox juice is simple and very healthy, and you can make it in the morning.

A Mississippi sheriff’s deputy was about to be dragged to his death when his quick-acting canine came to his rescue, authorities said.

Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Todd Frazier was attacked by three men who beat him and sliced him with a box cutter after Frazier stepped out of his car to investigate a suspicious vehicle on the evening of May 18 in Pearlington.

“They told him they were going to slit his throat, and they were dragging him toward the woods,” Chief Deputy Don Bass said, according to the Clarion-Ledger. “The three of them were dragging him toward the wooded area, and he was able to break one hand free to activate the button that opens the door and it released Lucas.”

Lucas, a black Belgian Malinois, sprung into action. The dog attacked the three men, biting two of them before they fled in their Lincoln Town Car, authorities said.

Did you know that Walmart sells around 25 % of all food in the United States? A company with such a huge market share definitely has enormous influence on those that produce the food they sell. So when Walmart announced it would encourage their suppliers to give animals more space, to discourage the use of antibiotics, to use pain killers for all painful procedures, this truly is a step in the right direction.

It will not be possible to end all the inhumane actions against animals in one step, but this news gives hope that especially in the food industry there will be a change of thought – leading to a change in action.

May 26^th, 2015 (John Carroll). TIJUANA – A big stretch of Tijuana beach turned bright red today as hundreds of crustaceans washed up on the sand. The creatures are a kind of crab, better known as Langostino.

The scene Tuesday afternoon on Playas de Tijuana was surreal as hundreds of the small creatures dotted the sand, most of them dead. “I thought first of all it was like all that polluted water we have around here, especially in Tijuana, but then another theory they say is that they (were brought here) by the currents,” said one woman on the beach.
