Atlantic contributor Daniel Panneton declared that the Catholic rosary has become a “symbol” of religious radicalism.
The rosary is a string of beads or knots used by Catholics as they pray a sequence of prayers, but one writer warned they have taken on a far darker meaning in modern times. “Just as the AR-15 rifle has become a sacred object for Christian nationalists in general, the rosary has acquired a militaristic meaning for radical-traditional (or ‘rad trad’) Catholics,” Panneton claimed in the Sunday piece titled, “How the Rosary Became an Extremist Symbol.”
He added, “On this extremist fringe, rosary beads have been woven into a conspiratorial politics and absolutist gun culture. These armed radical traditionalists have taken up a spiritual notion that the rosary can be a weapon in the fight against evil and turned it into something dangerously literal.”
Panneton slammed an entire online ecosystem for disseminating imagery featuring Christian warriors both historical and modern, suggesting that “social-media pages are saturated with images of rosaries draped over firearms, warriors in prayer, Deus Vult (‘God wills it’) crusader memes, and exhortations for men to rise up and become Church Militants.”
He observed that rosary beads “provide an aide-mémoire for a sequence of devotional prayers, are a widely recognized symbol of Catholicism and a source of strength. And many take genuine sustenance from Catholic theology’s concept of the Church Militant and the tradition of regarding the rosary as a weapon against Satan.”
The Atlantic contributor gave a wide variety of examples of how the modern association between rosaries and fighting men has become marketable to a niche audience, noting that “radical-traditional Catholics sustain their own cottage industry of goods and services,” such as one store that “sells replicas of the rosaries issued to American soldiers during the First World War as ‘combat rosaries.'”

The Swiss Guard, who have been protecting the Vatican in their iconic 16th-century armor and uniforms for centuries, were also addressed, as Panneton recounted: “In 2016, the pontifical Swiss Guard accepted a donation of combat rosaries; during a ceremony at the Vatican, their commander described the gift as ‘the most powerful weapon that exists on the market.'”
He also called out a member of the clergy, stating that “Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix issued an apostolic exhortation calling for a renewal of traditional conceptions of Catholic masculinity titled ‘Into the Breach,’ which led the Knights of Columbus, an influential fraternal order, to produce a video series promoting Olmsted’s ideas.”

Warning that Catholics are a “growing contingent of Christian nationalism,” Panneton commented that “Catholic imagery now blends freely with staple alt-right memes that romanticize ancient Rome or idealize the traditional patriarchal family.” He also commented that as the divide between American Catholics and Protestants has waned, they have become “cemented in common causes such as hostility toward abortion-rights advocates.”

An atheist was seated next to a dusty old cowboy on an airplane, and he turned to him and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”
The old cowboy, who had just started to read his book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly.
“Okay,” he said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?”
The atheist, visibly surprised by the old cowboy’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”
To which the cowboy replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss God, Heaven and Hell, or life after death, when you don’t know crap?”
Vernon Jones, a black pro-Trump Republican who is running for a Georgia House seat tweeted, “Why do you hate Christians, Ilhan?”
Do you think Omar’s comments were bigoted?
Omar’s comment seemed to indicate that she does not have the religious freedom, as a Muslim, to pray in public. But Jose Castillo, a Republican candidate running for Congress in Florida’s 9th Congressional District tweeted that Omar is free, as a Muslim, to pray in public.
“In America, Muslims can & do pray in public,” Castillo’s tweet said. “If she wants a country where Christians aren’t allowed to do the same [Omar] should go back to her own country.”
Omar is originally from Somalia and is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
Somalia is a country that is known for brutal religious oppression and strife, with large sections of the country being subjected to Islamic law.
“Somaliland’s constitution declares Islam the state religion, prohibits Muslims from converting to another religion, bars the propagation of any religion other than Islam and requires all laws to comply with the general principles of sharia,” the U.S. Department of State reported.
Omar and her family had to flee Mogadishu, Somalia, after militias invaded, she told MSNBC News.
Once she entered Congress, Omar actually fought for more religious freedom, Voice of America News reported.
As a Muslim woman who wears a hijab, or head covering, when Omar first became a Representative, she sought to change the Congressional rule that stated that “every member shall remain uncovered during the sessions of the House.”
She stated at the time that she was exercising her first Amendment right of religious freedom.
No one puts a scarf on my head but me. It’s my choice—one protected by the first amendment.
Omar has also been behind other actions to promote freedom of religion, such as the Freedom of Religion Act in 2021, which is meant to “prohibit religious discrimination in our immigration system,” her website reported.
As a congresswoman who has been a proponent of religious freedom and outspoken about Muslims’ rights to religion, Omar’s comments about the Christians singing on the plane seemed out of place, as many critics pointed out on Twitter.
Some simply accused her of hating Christians and Jews, and even some Muslims.
Cicely Davis, who is running in Minnesota’s 5th District to “Defeat Ilhan Omar and Save Minneapolis,” tweeted, “The issue is you hate Christians & Jews & lots of Muslims.”
Qatar – a country you’re very familiar with – plays Islamic prayers on the intercom before takeoff on their planes. They have a designated prayer area & coordinates for Mecca are posted on the screens.
In the Roman Catholic Church, it is considered a mortal sin to support abortion in any manner. If you are in a state of mortal sin, you need the Sacrament of Confession for your sins to be forgiven before you present yourself to receive communion again. President Joe Biden claims to be a “devout” Catholic, but that has not stopped him from being pro-choice, nor from openly defying Church teaching on the matter.
Recently, he slammed Florida’s new pro-life bill as “dangerous” because it limits abortion to 15-weeks. In response, a Virginia Catholic priest let the commander-in-chief know when he can attend confession at his parish.
On Friday, The Daily Wire reported that “lawmakers in Florida voted to prohibit most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy” on Thursday night.
According to Politico, “It provides no exceptions for victims of rape, incest or human trafficking. Existing Florida law restricts abortions after 24 weeks.”
Biden condemned the bill via Twitter, stating, “the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature passed a dangerous bill that will severely restrict women’s access to reproductive health care.”
“My Administration will not stand for the continued erosion of women’s constitutional rights,” he added.
This marked the second time in one week that Biden defended the right to kill a baby in the womb.
On Ash Wednesday, the president said he did not want to pass “judgement” on other people, and that he didn’t want to get into a “theological debate” over abortion.
That interaction can be seen here:
But, as The Daily Wire noted after that comment, there is not much of “theological debate” to be had on abortion within the Catholic Church.
Obtaining, providing, or supporting an abortion — thereby ending an innocent life — has always been a mortal sin. As a public figure openly supporting abortion, Biden is not just putting his own soul at risk, but is also committing a sin of scandal by leading other Catholics astray on this topic.
Catholics believe each human being from the moment of conception until natural death has inherent dignity and is the made in the image of God, and therefore has the right to life. To go against this is to go against the Church.
Catholic Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone — who serves the Diocese of San Francisco — wrote last summer that “you cannot be a good Catholic and support expanding a government-approved right to kill innocent human beings.”
Cordileone added, “everyone who advocates for abortion, in public or private life, who funds it or who presents it as a legitimate choice, participates in a great moral evil.”
Perhaps understanding Biden was participating in a “great moral evil” and therefore sinning with his comments, Father Dan Beeman of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Newport News, Virginia, kindly let him know that he holds confessions “at noon on Sunday, 5pm on Wednesday, and 3 on Saturday, Mr. President.”
On Saturday, Getty Images captured photos of Biden walking out of his hometown parish St. Joseph on the Brandywine in Greenville, Delaware, after the five o’clock Mass.
All are welcome in Mass regardless of if they are in a state of mortal sin, but those Catholics are asked to refrain from receiving Communion out of respect and love for the Body and Blood of Christ, as the Church believes is present in the Eucharist.
It is unclear if Biden made it to confession during the 4:00 pm slot that the church allots for the sacrament, but perhaps he can make a trip south to Newport News this week instead and visit Father Beeman.

Pope Francis, 85, had some choice words for the childless at the Vatican on Wednesday. In remarks to a general audience, the Catholic Church head called out couples who have chosen not to have children and opted to have pets instead.
“Today we see a form of selfishness,” the pope said, according to Fox News. “We see that some people do not want to have a child. Sometimes they have one, and that’s it, but they have … dogs and cats that take the place of children.”
“How many children in the world are waiting for someone to take care of them,” the pope went on. Pope Francis gave a speech about parenthood on Jan. 5 at the Vatican.Getty Images
“It is a risk, yes: Having a child is always a risk, either naturally or by adoption,” the Argentina-born leader said. “But it is riskier not to have them. It is riskier to deny fatherhood, or to deny motherhood, be it real or spiritual.”
The pope made the controversial remarks while speaking about Joseph, the biblical “foster father” of Jesus. He said Joseph’s role was the prime example of one of the “highest forms of love” that someone can receive. “Today we see a form of selfishness,” the pope said. “We see that some people do not want to have a child.”

He went on to suggest that there might be something wrong with people who have chosen not to have children.
“A man or woman who do not develop the sense of fatherhood or motherhood, they are lacking something, something fundamental, something important.”
The pope’s controversial comments come at a time of a steep decline in population in the West. According to UPI, the United States saw a 7% decline in its childbirth rate in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The crude birth rate in Italy dropped by 9% last year and Spain saw an 8% decline. Crude birth rate refers to the number of births that occur during the year.
While Pope Francis doesn’t have any dogs or cats at his Vatican home, his predecessor, Benedict XVI, housed felines as pets. The pope chastised couples who opt to house cats and dogs rather than children in his speech. Getty Images
Francis appears to be thinking a lot about parenthood so far in 2022. In his earlier New Year’s Day sermon, he called for an end to violence against women for the sake of motherhood.
“How much violence is directed against women! Enough! To hurt a woman is to insult God, who from a woman took on our humanity, not through an angel, not directly, but through a woman,” the pope said earlier this week.
“And since mothers bestow life, and women keep the world (together), let us all make greater efforts to promote mothers and to protect women,” he said.

“Message for the Holy Christmas 2021
By Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò – Official Published December 19, 2021 On the 25th day of December, in the 13th moon, when ages beyond number had run their course from the creation of the world, when God in the beginning created heaven and earth, and formed man in his own likeness; when century upon century had passed from the time when the Almighty had set his bow in the…
After the Taliban surrendered control over Afghanistan last month, many Afghan Christians have gone into hiding in order to avoid persecution and death from the Islamic regime.
Release International, an international organization which monitors and reports on Christians across the world, notes that there are less than 10,000 Christians in the country as many have fled into more remote areas to stay out of sight from the Taliban.
“We’re hearing that Christians are trapped in Afghanistan, we don’t know how many, it was a small church to begin with,” Andrew Boyd of Release International toldPremier Christian News. “Quite a few have left while they could. But there are others who are trapped, they can’t get out.”
While the Taliban have control over the airfields and the country’s borders, Boyd says that some Christians have dispersed from Afghanistan into nearby countries…
A couple who made a large donation to a Catholic school in Tampa, Florida, is suing for the money back, alleging the school has lost its way by pushing “woke culture.”
The Tampa Bay Times reported that in 2017, when the couple had two daughters attending the Academy of the Holy Names, they offered the school $1.35 million.
Anthony and Barbara Scarpo said they “cherished” the academy and wanted to give money to allow disadvantaged kids a way in through scholarships. The Academy of Holy Names even renamed its auditorium the “Scarpo Family Theatre.”
Four years later, the love affair is over, thanks to the school’s pushing of divisive racial politics, according to the parents. One of their daughters has graduated and the couple has pulled their other daughter out of the exclusive academy.
According to the Scarpos, the school has defrauded them by going against its Catholic values. Anthony Scarpo wrote a letter to the school following the graduation of his oldest daughter.
“The continued indoctrination of your twisted version of social and racial justice, equity, inclusion, sexuality and today’s politically correct narrative has permeated like a stench through the halls of the Academy and been allowed to seep into the minds of our children, causing stress, anger, guilt and confusion,” he wrote.
“You were always eager to solicit our hard-earned money and take what you could but held firm as you dragged dozens if not hundreds of conservative families and teachers through your reimagined, highly progressive world, even as parents and students asked you … pleaded with you to stop, slow down.”
According to the couple, the Academy of the Holy Names has “lost its way.”
In a 45-page lawsuit, the couple is asking for its donation money back, saying the administration has embraced “woke culture” while separating itself from mainstream Catholicism. The couple said “gender identity, human sexuality and pregnancy termination among other hot button issues,” are now being taught over the traditional curriculum.
Would you send your child or grandchild to a school that became ‘woke?’
The Scarpos even allege that white students, such as their children, and those who can afford tuition to the school, have faced being shamed.
“The lawsuit makes clear the couple’s displeasure with the way the school has dealt with issues of race, saying students are made to feel guilty for being white and having enough money to attend the academy,” the Times reported. “In addition to asking for a return of the pledged donation, the lawsuit seeks a tuition refund.”
The Scarpos additionally are asking the Florida Catholic Conference to pull the school’s accreditation and are asking the Academy of the Holy Names to immediately stop portraying itself as a Catholic school.
The school’s attorney called the lawsuit a publicity stunt and wants to force the Scarpos to pay their full $1.35 million pledge, vowing to countersue if the couple doesn’t drop the lawsuit.
“We can discern no motivation behind the lawsuit other than attention-seeking by your clients, and a desire by you to build a brand,” attorney Gregory Hearing wrote in a letter to the Scarpos’ legal counsel.
“For a court to delve into whether the substance of matters taught by a Catholic school are consistent with a Catholic education would entangle the court in excessively religious matters, and thereby violate the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution,” Hearing added. “That we should need to educate you on this is absurd.”
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Scarpos have paid $240,000 of their pledge and have also raised $9 million for the school. The school, according to the Scarpos, has pushed on white students the idea that “their families are personally responsible for the historic harm(s) some members of our society have visited on other members of our society.”
The Academy of the Holy Names has also allegedly encouraged its Catholic students to become “allies” for the LGBT movement.
Lord, thank you that we are aware of these plans in advance so that we can counter the counterfeit with truth–Your truth, Jesus. His work on the cross is complete!
A Luciferian March for a One World Government will be held in at least 22 U.S. cities on June 21 during a solar eclipse. More cities are being added as they attempt to make this a nationwide and worldwide movement of appealing to Satan for empowering the One World Government. A worldwide livestream of the Stonehenge satanic ceremonies is also planned for the first time ever.
Summer solstice is a high holiday for Luciferians, as many of their rituals are related to the lunar and solar cycles. This year’s summer solstice also coincides with a “Ring of Fire” solar eclipse event where the moon will cover the sun and create the appearance of a ring of fire.
DOWNLOAD A FREE PRAYER GUIDE FOR PRAYING AGAINST CURSES. CLICK BELOW!
The marches are intended to create chaos and it has been speculated by some that demonstrators may even try to erect satanic monuments at existing sites where Confederate and other allegedly racist statues have been torn down. How shocking that we are in a state that Luciferians would be so open and bold to march in public. Prayer is needed to put a covering on the parts of our nation where boots will be on the ground.
Let us act in the opposite spirit of the chaos, darkness, and oppression that this march seeks to bring. We bind those powers that come in order to carry out this assignment. Intercessors, rise up in worship, prayer, fasting and even marching in the streets to proclaim the good news of Christ.
These are the listed sites hosting Luciferian marches at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21st. Others will be named as we hear. Reportedly there are 22 cities in all.

As lawlessness and chaos continue to manifest throughout the US and now in multiple places worldwide, believers need to rise up and pray and take stand against this onslaught of the enemy. We are reminded by the LORD that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph 6:12.) The enemy is lashing out in rage and anger; reacting to the movement of the Holy Spirit. The waves of evil have been widespread and very violent bringing the appearance that the enemy is in control as he attempts to take control of the world. But we know Jesus has won the victory. We know that He has conquered death and hell. We also know that He will return and establish His throne here on earth. Could it be that we are being invited into a great move of God? As in a massive tsunami of the work of the Holy Spirit? At times it feels as if we are in the midst of a storm of evil, but let us not forget that we are in the boat with Jesus in whom our faith rests.
WORSHIP AND PRAISE CONFOUNDS THE ENEMY. We recommend a huge increase in praise and worship on that day! Join in!
Prayer point suggestions:
Praise and thank the LORD that He has been exposing the enemy’s schemes by showing us this in advance so that we can pray for our nation.
Ask the LORD to shed His light of truth exposing what the enemy is attempting to do through this march. Open our eyes to see the counterfeits around us!
Ask the LORD to awaken the Church to stand up against this flagrant act of the enemy.
Stand firm in the LORD against the wiles of the enemy; standing firm on the LORDSHIP of Jesus as the King.
Ask Jesus to pierce the cloaking of the satanic rituals surrounding these marches and curses of witches exposing those through whom the enemy is using to stir up the demonic spirit realm.
Ask Jesus to confuse the enemy’s schemes bringing confusion in the camp of the enemy.
In Jesus’ name cut off and cancel the assignments of the enemy against our nation and the President.
Ask the LORD to anoint our leaders with Godly wisdom and discernment and to surround our President with those who are surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Declare the whole and complete work of redemption that Christ had on the cross, and that all other plans are counterfeit.

A priest from Michigan is garnering widespread attention online this week for a unique way he incorporated social distancing guidelines into his services at his parish during Holy Week last month.
In the photos, which were first shared by the St. Ambrose Parish in Grosse Pointe Park last month and have gone viral on Twitter in recent days, the priest, Father Tim Pelc, could be seen donning gloves, a mask and a squirt gun containing holy water.
The church wrote in the April 12 post: “Adapting to the need for social distancing, St. Ambrose continued it’s tradition of Blessing of Easter Food Baskets, drive-thru style. Yes, that’s Fr. Tim using a squirt gun full of Holy Water!”
In an interview with Today published on Sunday, Pelc said he came up with the idea and decided to go through with it after checking first with a doctor to make sure it was in line with social guidelines advised by health experts and government officials to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“You can’t double dip into the holy water container,” he told the outlet. “I thought, what could I do that would keep the quarantine restrictions going and give kids the experience of Easter?”
“We didn’t have a lot of notice on it. At noon, the Saturday before Easter, I went out there and there was a line of cars waiting,” Pelc added.
The church’s initial post detailing the effort by Pelc has racked up several hundred shares and likes over the past few weeks. However, a tweet talking about Pelc’s “social distance blessings” has garnered over half a million likes and more than 125,000 retweets in just two days. The photos also picked up traction in a viral photoshop battle on Reddit not long after.https://d-6252475892314059361.ampproject.net/2005151837000/frame.html
Larry A. Peplin, the photographer who captured the photos, told The Hill on Sunday that he has been working as commercial photographer in the Detroit-area for decades and said he has “never seen anything like this happen to any of my photos.”
“Having covered many thousands of imaging assignments including six presidents and now nearing retirement, this is stunning,” he continued. “I’m quite aware that these things happen, and memes get created then passed around the world, but why did it take five weeks for it to take off?”
“I understand now why it’s called ‘going viral,’ and yes, I’m taking that verbal cue from COVID-19,” he added.

The UK is a Christian country. The UK stuns animals before slaughter. It should be undertaken for ALL animals slaughtered in the UK with no religious exemptions. Stunning is the UK way; so if living in the UK, abide UK law and stun all animals before slaughter !!
It’s gone relatively unreported, but on Monday, President Obama signed yet another executive order- this time targeting the religious rights of Americans.
The new executive edict issued by Obama prohibits federal contractors from discriminating against homosexuals and those who identify as a different gender than that which they were assigned at birth.
The move is sure to delight many on the left and even some on the right; however, the executive order is sure to rile those who value the Constitution’s separation of powers as the president is supposed to serve as a law enforcer, not a lawmaker.
President Obama signed the executive order, bypassing Congress entirely, against the wishes of many religious institutions that argued that the order ought to maintain an exemption for religious institutions who have charged that the executive order could compel them to violate their religious tenets.
Obama hailed the executive order on Monday, saying,

These are the reports that came out of the ‘Gadhimai’ Festival in Nepal in 2009, where an estimated quarter of a million farm animals were inhumanely slaughtered as part of the sacrifice festival.
‘Gadhimai’, as the festival is known, is set to take place again this Nov.
‘Gadhimai’ takes place every 5 years in the Bara District of Nepal, south of Kathmandu. For 250 years the festival has continued relatively unchallenged, but as news of the inhumane slaughter has spread internationally, animal welfare advocates have spoken out against it.

“This has been our tradition for 44 years. This is our big draw for our parish picnic. If we don’t have the pig rassle down here, we don’t hardly see any people come to our church,” said Bruce Learman, pig rassle co-chair.

Over the weekend, St. Patrick’s Parish in Wisconsin hosted it’s 44th annual “pig rassle,” in which participants — young and old — “rassled” pigs in mud and barrels. Almost 40 pigs were forced to participate, and over 60,000 people signed the petition against the event. A group of protesters were there to document the event and to bear witness to the cruelty. In a day or two, I’ll be posting the observations and experiences of the protesters who attended.
Regarding the above quote, I have some thoughts. Justifying that animal cruelty…
