Millions of healthy chickens, pigs, and cattle across America could die because of pandemic-induced overcrowding on farms. Due to COVID-19 closings, animals typically shipped out to processing facilities now have nowhere to go. Tell leaders that mass euthanasia will never be the answer to population control.
Stop killing dogs in Ukraine Because of the coronavirus, human stupidity, misinformation, and false information have killed thousands of cats and dogs in many countries around the world, including China, blaming them for the pandemic. Fortunately, it has been proven that animals do not transmit the virus, but many people do not know it and animals continue to suffer from torture and are killed in the worst possible ways. In China they have already stopped with the murder of dogs in their vast majority, but in countries like Ukraine they still think that they are responsible for or transmitters of the coronavirus, so they are shot, poisoned or beaten to death. They are captured, locked up in small cages where they all live piled high, and then killed without mercy, out of simple ignorance. We must ask the Ukrainian government and its President to do everything humanly possible to protect the lives of the dogs that are being brutally killed, because it has been shown that they do not transmit the virus nor are they responsible for the pandemic, on the contrary, they are as victims as us, or even more.
A Special Campaign of the American TFP Return to Order Logo Netflix has resurrected a series titled Lucifer which centers around the devil as a “likeable” character and victim of an “overbearing” God. According to reports about the film: “Lucifer Morningstar” (the devil) is portrayed as “charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome”; Lucifer is described as “the son of God”; One female character is described as being the “ex-wife of Lucifer’s dad” (i.e., the ex-wife of God); In the show, Lucifer refers to God thus: “Hey, he’s my father, not yours. I can say whatever I want about the guy. I quit Hell because I was sick and tired of playing a part in Dad’s plan. I believe in free will, not the tyranny of all his predestination hoo-ha”; Lucifer continues: “Do you think I’m the devil because I’m inherently evil or simply because dear ol’ Dad decided I was?”; Clips show plenty of gyrating, scantily clad dancers, sexual innuendos, glorify a party lifestyle; Lucifer is portrayed as a fun loving young man while God and his angels are seen as apathetic and arbitrary. This wicked man was witnessed slamming his dogs onto the ground, and dragging them across pavement!
Add your name if you want to punish him FOR REAL.
His name is Bryan Ellis.
He was seen by neighbors doing unspeakable things to two helpless dogs.
“They described Ellis picking up the white dog and throwing the dog to the ground several times, while also hitting the dog.
“One of the witnesses saw the white dog walk away limping and vomiting.
“The brown pit bull had been dragged along the road surface by Ellis and was now safe at a nearby home, also vomiting.
“Both dogs appeared badly injured according to all witnesses,” according to a statement from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
“When deputies examined the brown dog, they say they noticed that its front paws were scraped and bleeding,” reported AZ Family.
All those poor dogs wanted to do was give this man their love.
All they got in return was horrible abuse.
What kind of human being could even think of doing this?
We have to protect innocent animals from people like Brian Ellis.
Senator Bernie Sanders has been a long-term advocate for animal rights, and has co-sponsored numerous pieces of legislation to protect endangered species, as well as to combat animal cruelty.

Details Letter Signatures Hurting or harassing an animal is not cool or funny; it is animal abuse and should be banned on all social media. Tell the CEO and founder of TikTok to remove all videos that promote animal abuse, and to ban the users that uploaded them. Animal abuse is not entertainment! In February of 2020, Sun Online uncovered disturbing TikTok videos of users hitting animals in the head, slapping them, and tying their ears together with rubber bands, all for likes and followers.1 TikTok is a video sharing app which has over 500 million active users, most under the age of 25. They are young and impressionable, and they need to understand that animal cruelty will not be tolerated. A video showing an owner repeatedly slapping their dog on the back to the children’s tune, “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” was liked by over three million users. The dog was clearly distressed and attempted to bite the owner to make them stop. PETA spokesperson and director Elisa Allen responded to the videos by explaining, “they normalize treating animals disrespectfully, even physically abusing them, and there’s a risk of ‘copycat’ behavior by people who are desperate for publicity and attention – even the negative kind.”2 Although a TikTok spokesperson stated that “we have investigated every individual case that has been raised and removed all content that violates our Community Guidelines,”1 it took Sun Online conducting their own investigation, uncovering and publicizing these animal abuse videos, before TikTok removed them. TikTok’s Community Guidelines state that animal cruelty videos are not to be posted and will be removed and the user will be suspended or banned. However, the current monitoring system is not catching them.3 Demand immediate action by TikTok to stop promoting animal cruelty. Sign now! The Petition: To: Zhang Yiming, founder of TikTok: Please immediately remove all videos on TikTok that promote animal abuse. Animals are not objects to be used to gain popularity or likes. There is nothing to ‘like’ about a challenge that encourages people to harass or harm an animal. We are sure you agree that animals deserve to be respected and treated as the loving companions they are. Animal abuse is a felony, and allowing users to post videos that promote and glorify animal cruelty is both inappropriate and harmful. Take a stand for animals and for a better world. Haunting images of live cats being immersed in boiling water, rows of feline corpses drying in the sun, people preparing and packaging the disturbing concoction, and a baby drinking what appears to be the ‘elixir’ surfaced after workers from the charity No to Dog Meat released shocking video footage. The trade in this sickening solution is booming in Hanoi, and the mixture is even being advertised and sold online. There’s zero scientific credibility behind the belief that ingesting cats in any form protects against COVID-19; on the contrary, mounting evidence shows that the live animal trade puts humans at risk of catching deadly illnesses from animals. As people the world over become increasingly aware of the dangers associated with the cruel and unhygienic live animal trade, torturing these poor creatures for any reason represents a blatant step backward for both animal rights and public health. The needless slaughter of helpless cats based on bad information must end. Sign this petition urging the Vietnamese Ambassador to the U.S., Ha Kim Ngoc, to push for a countrywide ban on this brutal practice and to educate citizens about the dangers of killing and ingesting these animals.
Sign Petition: Demand an end to live animal markets in the United States 2 minutes Urge the USDA to end live animal markets Stop pandemics where they start. Live animal markets place the public in grave danger, and result in immense cruelty to animals. Most infectious diseases can be traced back to animals, including COVID-19. The original reservoir for SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for causing COVID-19, is likely bat in origin. SARS-CoV-2 may have found a secondary host (e.g. pangolins) before mutating to a human host. The large live animal markets in China provide a perfect breeding ground for a pandemic. So do the livestock auctions and live animal markets of the United States. Now is the time to put an end to live animal markets. Add your name to the growing list of concerned citizens who want to stop pandemics where they start. Auctions confine animals from different farms in overcrowded pens, sometimes for days. Healthy animals are housed with sick ones. The dead may be left for hours or days before removal from a pen. In the United States, live animal markets sell a variety of species for slaughter, either onsite or privately. Studies show that employees at these markets often test positive for viruses that originate in animals. In one Minnesota study, 65% of employees at two live animal markets tested positive for influenza of swine origin. The body parts of lions killed in gruesome hunts are being bought and imported into our country as ‘hunting trophies’. To hunt these beautiful animals for fun is inhumane and wrong – but it’s also contributing to the rapid decline of lion numbers. That’s why I’m calling on lion trophy hunting imports to be banned immediately. I lived and worked for two decades in several African countries to help the conservation of lions there and I’m now the director of Lion Aid. It pains me that their numbers continue to drop. The number of lions in Africa has decreased from over 200,000 to less than 15,000 within the past 50 years. Most of the ‘trophies’ are male lions. This has a disastrous knock on effect, pride structures are disrupted, reproduction almost grinds to a halt as cub survival is severely affected, and mortality among females increases as they attempt to protect their cubs during encounters with more and more displaced males. We must immediately stop our involvement in this cruel trade of lions killed for fun, like others around the world have. Australia, France and the Netherlands have already banned lion trophy imports. Why have we not yet joined them in doing so? In 2010 and 2015 promises were made by British MPs about introducing a ban, but years later nothing has happened. Every single day we delay makes it more and more likely that we push lions towards extinction. Please sign my petition calling on the UK to immediately ban imports of Lion trophies.

“The new COVID-19 coronavirus, SARS, MERS, Ebola, Avian Influenza, and Swine Flu are all derived from animals. Serious rethinking of the food animal industries is called for, and we need strict laws banning the illegal killing and selling of small animals.” Thanks to our modern global transportation systems, we can travel from one side of the world to the other in a day, and buy and sell goods from other countries with ease. But this also means that diseases can spread at the same speed and ease. Viruses emerging in one country or region are no longer only that country’s or region’s problem. Recent Instances of Fatal Viruses from Animals Swine Flu is a variant of a family of influenza viruses found in pigs and is possibly the result of gene exchange between the influenza viruses of humans, birds and pigs, all with which pigs can be infected. The fatality rate is under 1%, but it is so easily transmitted that it has been reported that globally around 203,000 people died. Avian Flu was first found to have infected humans in 1997 in Hong Kong. It is transmitted via the feces and secretion of birds. This virus spread not only in Asia but to Europe and Africa, and killed around 17,000 people, with an additional 400 people dying from its variants. Ebola, which first occurred in 1976 and rose to notoriety in 2014, was originally found in artibeus jamaicensis, the Jamaican fruit bat, and infected humans who consumed their meat, or the meat of the apes that also ate these bats. The fatality rate is 30~90%. 10,000 people died during the epidemic. MERS occurred in 2012 and looks to have been transmitted to humans from camels. It infected more than 1,000 people, killing 400 from 2012 to 2015. SARS, with a fatality rate of 11%, originated from an outdoor market in Guangdong, China in November 2002. This coronavirus spread to humans from wild civets initially from a cook who cooked their meat, followed by the doctor who treated him. The disease became a world epidemic via Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam killing around 770 people, most of them in Asia. Spanish Flu, known to have begun in 1918, infected 500 million people and is estimated to have killed between 17 million to over 50 million people worldwide. It is the worst contagious disease in the history of mankind, killing more people than both world wars. Recent research has revealed that Spanish Flu was a variant of the H1N1 coronavirus, to which Swine Flu and Avian Flu are also related. It’s quite possible that it’s yet another variant that is threatening the world today. Development and Spread of New Viruses These viruses that have occurred over the last few years around the world—SARS, MERS, Ebola, Swine Flu, Avian Flu, and the new COVID-19 coronavirus—have one thing in common; they have spread to humans through cross-species transmission (CST) due to close proximity with infected animals. In particular, SARS, MERS, and COVID-19 are all coronaviruses, pathogens found in various animal species, the ultimate source of which is as yet unknown. The new COVID-19 coronavirus is strongly suspected of being derived from infected pangolins and transmitted to humans from contact while being sold in a market in the city of Wuhan in central China. Contagious diseases are quicker to spread between individuals of the same or different species when they are in close proximity to one another, such as in farms, markets, and slaughterhouses. There are large and small markets all over China where all sorts of wild animals are secretly traded and small animals, including stolen cats and dogs, are all shut up in cages. They are slaughtered and cooked on the spot, or their meat is taken somewhere else. Their blood, feces and other secretions are spread on clothing, on hands, and the ground. It is the perfect environment for the spread of infection, both within and between species. Then there are other cities in China, like Hebei, the world’s largest leather producer. Within the city, the manufacturing, rendering, storage, and sale of animal carcasses and fur are often carried out in people’s homes. There are mounds of fox and raccoon pelts on the ground in the street auctions. The furs of wild animals are stored and hung in the windows of department stores. In South Korea, there are illegal dog slaughterhouses and the illegal slaughter of small animals in street markets all throughout the country. And Korea is the only country in the world to have dog farms, in which dogs are raised in large groups in unsanitary conditions for their meat. Korean dog farms often breed chickens alongside the dogs, and the two species are slaughtered in the same facility. Activists from CARE encountered both chickens and dogs infected with influenza at the same slaughterhouse in 2018. In one cage, 10% of the 300 chickens were already dead from influenza. In other cages lay the bodies of dead dogs, and infected dogs coughing up blood. We already know that the influenza virus can be transmitted to other species, so it is not beyond possibility—and may only be a matter of time—before another deadly variant arises from the close proximity of infected chickens and dogs, and humans in these slaughterhouses. CARE warned the government of the dangers of influenza rampant in the dog farms and slaughterhouses of Korea and demanded an investigation. As of yet, there has been no answer. How To Stop Future Infections China announced the shutting down of wild animal markets for the time being, in order to restrict contact with the animals thought to be the cause of the recent COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. Furthermore, China is pursuing a ban on the trade in wild animals altogether. However, a simple ban on the sale and slaughter of wild animals is not enough. These markets are also selling other small animals, like dogs and cats. The Korean government recommends thoroughly cooking meat, just as it did in the mad cow disease crisis. However, without solving the fundamental problem, mere preventive measures for humans are not enough. Avoiding the consumption of meat is not enough, because the process of rearing and slaughtering animals for meat is itself a potential cause of contagion. This peripheral treatment of the problem only highlights the fact that profits are considered more important than human lives. Quite apart from the animal rights perspective, we must make a decision about the slaughtering of all small animals, whether wild, or domesticated and not traditionally considered food animals, like dogs and cats, or considered food animals like chickens, because without laws in place, they are vulnerable to illegal and unregulated trade and slaughter, with the potential threats to human well-being outlined above. Serious Thought Needed It is not much of an overstatement to say that our problems began with capturing wild animals and their domestication into farm animals. The development of civilization and the consequent rise in population necessitated the need for ever more efficient ways of producing food. Our meat-eating culture developed mass food animal farming and methods, which, along with the stress and suffering these methods cause and the selective breeding for individuals that produce more food, has made the food animal production industries ideal environments for the development of spread of new viruses. It then takes just one cross-species transmission event to produce a human epidemic. Our excessive animal-derived-food-consuming culture and food animal industries must be reconsidered as a global priority. If we don’t address this issue, not only will the abuse and suffering of billions of animals continue, and not only will these industries continue to pollute our environment, consume ever more resources, and contribute to climate change, but it’s entirely possible that the next time a new virus jumps from a non-human to a human in a factory farm, a slaughterhouse, or a market, we won’t be able to combat it.

In 2018 the public were mortified by hundreds of images of starving animals on Australian farms in yet another year of drought.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a statement to say that they are expecting lower than average rainfall and higher than average temperatures through Spring into early Summer, resulting in a “low chance of recovery for drought-affected areas”.

Tell Mattel: No More Plastic Packaging | Take Action @ The Animal Rescue Site
Sponsor: Free The Ocean
Every parent has seen it: the amount of plastic packaging for toys is ridiculous. The consequences for our oceans are dire.
Over 28 BILLION pounds of plastic enters the ocean each year.1 Plastic packaging is the single biggest contributor, representing a massive 42% of the plastic polluting our oceans.
Plastic in our oceans kills over ONE MILLION marine animals each year. Mammals, fish, sharks, turtles, and birds die from entanglement in or ingestion of plastic.2 Sea turtles are especially susceptible as the plastic they consume gets trapped in their stomachs, preventing them from swallowing real food… and they starve.3 This is a serious issue.
Toys are one of the worst offenders when it comes to plastic packaging, and Mattel is one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers.4 The amount of plastic used to package their toys is staggering. Ironically, the kids opening the toys enclosed in plastic packaging are the ones who are going to be impacted the most. If nothing changes, by the time a 5-year old today turns 35, plastic in the oceans will outweigh the fish.5 Let’s not make children choose between toys packaged in plastic and a healthy ocean.
Although there’ll soon be a ‘How2Recycle’ sticker on some of Mattel’s products6, the truth is only 9% of plastic ever actually gets recycled.7 Mattel needs a wake-up call when it comes to the impact created by their plastic packaging. Not only would a change in packaging benefit our environment, the ocean, and marine life – it would also benefit the children who play with Mattel’s toys. We know this can be done, because Hasbro has already committed to phase out plastic in all of its packaging.8
When we speak out together, we can make companies take action. Tell the CEO of Mattel, Ynon Kreiz, to redesign Mattel’s packaging to eliminate plastic!

Hasbro to Phase Out Plastic from New Toy and Game Packaging
Hasbro, August 20, 2019
To: Ynon Kreiz, CEO of Mattel, Inc.
Plastic packaging is the single biggest contributor to the plastic that ends up in our oceans – which is a staggering 18 billion pounds per year. Plastic pollution kills over 1 million marine animals every year and severely damages the marine ecosystem.
As one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers, Mattel’s product packaging contributes to a massive amount of plastic. I know you’re adding a ‘How2Recycle’ sticker to some of your products but unfortunately, only 9% of all plastic actually gets recycled. The reality is, this won’t meaningfully reduce plastic waste, but using plastic-free alternatives for your packaging will.
It’s estimated that by the time a 5-year-old today, turns 35, plastic in the oceans will outweigh fish. But we can change that. Let’s not give a child the choice between a toy packaged in plastic and a healthy ocean. Ynon, changing Mattel’s packaging would not only benefit the ocean and marine life but would also benefit the children who play with your toys. Please make the right decision and redesign Mattel’s packaging to eliminate plastic.

These animals were destined for the Middle East, where they would be slaughtered while fully conscious, but their nightmare started minutes into their journey. For an industry who sees animals as nothing more than ‘cargo’, it is a tragic but familiar scene. Left to sink with the ship, these gentle animals didn’t stand a chance from the moment they were sold into the live export trade.
With your help, we will call for justice for these animals, and hold those responsible to account.

Oli P started this petition to Department of Justice
The United States keeps sending our military bomb sniffing Dogs to the country of Jordan, where a Federal investigation revealed are so greatly starved and neglected, that many died, and those who don’t barely survive.
The federal investigation recommendation to the United States Department of Justice was to stop sending dogs until there was a sustainability plan put in place, but the Department of Justice has not taken action on this recommendation.
See additional information about the investigation Here.
Despite spending “millions of dollars” training and dispatching the dogs, State Department officials failed to ensure their health and welfare, said the report, which was launched after a hotline complaint about the dogs’ treatment.
According to the report, the State Department’s loose regulation and lack of concrete policies were a big factor in the dogs’ mistreatment.
The State Department couldn’t provide investigators detailed information for the dogs in other partner countries besides Jordan, and there often aren’t any written agreements with the countries outlining how to care for the dogs.
We are asking the United States Department Of Justice to:
Stop sending additional dogs to Jordan until policies, a plan and assurances are put into place to properly monitor and ensure the well-being of those military dogs.
Investigate and provide investigators detailed information about the dogs and their well-being in the other partner countries besides Jordan.
Let’s ensure the protection and care of the U.S. military dogs that work hard and risk their lives every day, serving our and our partner countries.
After a whistleblower told the U.S. government that the Explosive Detection Canines (EDCs) were being neglected, the inspector general’s (IG) office for the State Department began to investigate. What they discovered was horrifying.
At least ten bomb-sniffing dogs given to Jordan over the past 8 years have perished. Some of the dogs were young and healthy pups when they left but died shortly after they arrived in the Middle Eastern nation.
Zoe, for example, a 2-year-old female Belgian Malinois, died of heatstroke just 9 months after she arrived. Another dog, Mencey, a 3-year-old of the same bread, got so sick in Jordan from a tick-borne disease that she had to be returned to the United States for treatment. He died shortly afterward. Other dogs were found to be parasite ridden, emaciated, and lacking in proper medical attention. In light of their investigation, IG’s office determined that no more dogs should be sent to Amman. Yet, despite the initial complaint and the devastating findings of the IG’s report, dogs are still being sent.
These dogs are American heroes. They keep us and our allies safe by doing the jobs that are too dangerous for humans. The least we could do is make sure that they are well taken care of and have happy, healthy lives.
If Jordan or any other country that receives American EDCs cannot treat them humanely then they shouldn’t be allowed to have them. It’s just that simple.
Please sign the petition and demand that the U.S. State Department stop giving dogs to countries that can’t take care of them.

PETITION TARGET: Director of NOAA’s Office of Law Enforcement Jim Landon
Florida wildlife officials discovered a fatally wounded bottlenose dolphin along the coast of Upper Captiva Island in Lee County, reports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
“There was a wound penetrating from above and in front of the right eye, extending almost 6 inches toward the top and back of the head. The wound ended inside the head at the top of the skull and had evidence of hemorrhaging, indicating wounds consistent with being impaled prior to death,” the NOAA stated.
The necropsy revealed the dolphin was likely “begging” for food when gruesomely stabbed by a “spear-like object.”
“People can help prevent future harm to wild dolphins by not feeding or attempting to feed them. Not only is it illegal, dolphins fed by people learn to associate people, boats, and fishing gear with food, which puts dolphins and people in harmful situations,” the NOAA informed.
“Harassing, harming and killing wild dolphins is also illegal,” the Miami Herald warned.
Sign this petition to urge NOAA Director Jim Landon to use all available resources to investigate this horrific crime against protected wildlife, so the perpetrator can be identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the NOAA Enforcement Hotline as soon as possible at 1-800-853-1964. There is a $38,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
