New White House Petition Demands Congress Pass Legislation Protecting Online Speech

Backlash against Big Tech intensifies
A new White House petition has been launched urging President Trump to demand Congress pass legislation that defends free speech online.
The full petition, which can be https://www.infowars.com/new-white-house-petition-demands-congress-pass-legislation-protecting-online-speech/ here, reads as follows;
The internet is the modern public square. It is where political campaigns are fought and won, where journalism is created and distributed, and where grassroots movements are born. Yet, the free and open internet has become a controlled, censored space, monopolized by a few unaccountable corporations.
By banning users from their platforms, those corporations can effectively remove politically unwelcome Americans from the public square. That is repugnant to our shared values of free speech and freedom of the press.
The President should request that Congress pass legislation prohibiting social media platforms from banning users for First Amendment-protected speech. The power to block lawful content should be in the hands of individual users – not Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey.
The petition was launched after numerous conservative voices were banned or deplatformed by Big Tech in recent weeks, including Alex Jones, who was censored by Apple, Facebook, YouTube, Spotify and others in a coordinated strike.
Since those bans, Trump himself has repeatedly tweeted to draw attention to social media censorship, including today when he accused Google of favoring negative search results about him in its news results.
….results on “Trump News” are from National Left-Wing Media, very dangerous. Google & others are suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good. They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation-will be addressed!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2018
Earlier this month, Trump also drew attention to conservatives being censored online.
“Too many voices are being destroyed, some good & some bad, and that cannot be allowed to happen,” he wrote. “Who is making the choices, because I can already tell you that too many mistakes are being made.”
“Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices. Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen.”
In addition to the petition, with the help of top media lawyers, Infowars has drawn up a series of recommendations to be sent to the Trump administration that will help protect free speech online.
Suggestions include directing the Justice Department to open investigations into whether there are First Amendment & anti-trust law violations by the major social media platforms. Trump could also set up a Presidential Commission made up of free speech experts to advise him on future action.

President Trump Is The Real Deal, But He Is Surrounded By Cowards
Mass censorship of conservatives and libertarians is exploding. You’ve already seen this with the demonetization and ultimate purge of Infowars and other alternative media outlets by mega-corporations working in tangent to stifle competition. But you are important in this fight. Your voice is important. Your free thought is important. Make no mistake, you are just as important as anyone in the Anti-American establishment.

Judge Napolitano: ‘People don’t know the danger that is coming’
Fox News Channel senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano says the Obama administration’s efforts to regulate the Internet constitute a major infringement upon freedom of speech, but he believes the new plan will get struck down in court for lack of transparency.
The five members of the Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, are scheduled to vote Thursday on a plan to advance Obama’s net neutrality agenda, which also allegedly calls for the Internet to be treated like a utility. Despite the major changes the plan could well involve, lawmakers and the media have been rather quiet about it.
“People don’t know the danger that is coming,” Napolitano said. “The danger that is coming is a gaggle of bureaucrats here – three Democrats and two Republicans, the Republicans will probably dissent – claiming they have the power to regulate the Internet.”
He said Congress…

Sounds like a ~ BITCH ~ threat to me.
It’s time to deal with the tactics I’ve encountered since deciding to work against the slaughter of pit-bull-like dogs. The behavior of Barbara Kay, in particular — a columnist at the National Post — has become disturbing. Ms. Kay is apparently incensed that I’m collaborating on a children’s book that features a dog of this type. One of the many aims of this book, Galunker, is to rehabilitate the reputation of these slandered creatures. This upsets her.
Now, heated argument is normal, when it comes to contentious issues. What deviates from standard practice, however — especially on the part of a professional journalist — is an effort to silence your opponent.
Barbara Kay has yet to come after me in the National Post itself; she insists that she will; but much of our exchange has already ended up quite public. I told her via email that I was investigating…

The First Amendment is freedom of speech…. and the terrorist use it to inform us how much they hate us!!!
Given that Hamas (spelled with one M) has been designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. State Department for decades, it’s hard to see how a license plate honoring the group could be interpreted as anything but support for radical Islamic terrorism.
