Biden’s TROUBLE, TROUBLE, TROUBLE!

OPEC TO BIDEN: DROP DEAD

The speculation earlier this week was that OPEC+ was going to cut oil output by 1 million barrels a day, and the Biden White House was described as being in “a panic” about this prospective move, because gasoline prices are starting to soar again just in time to help tip the midterm election further in favor of Republicans.* CNN reported:

The Biden administration launched a full-scale pressure campaign in a last-ditch effort to dissuade Middle Eastern allies fromdramatically cutting oil production, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. . .

On Wednesday morning, OPEC+oil ministers meeting in Vienna agreed to an even larger production cut than the White House had feared— 2 million barrels per day, beginning in November, according to a readout of the meeting released on Wednesday. The…

Petition: Save the Disney Dolphins

Target: Walt Disney World Resort; Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World Resort; Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks; Thomas Mazloum, President, Disney Signature Experiences

Save the Disney Dolphins (SADD) together with Dolphin Project, are asking Disney to retire the captive dolphins at Epcot, and to cease sales to any captive dolphin programs on Disney cruises.

Please join us by signing and sharing this petition.

To: Walt Disney World Resort; Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World Resort; Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks; Thomas Mazloum, President, Disney Signature Experiences
From: [Your Name]

Dear Sirs,

In April 2019, Izzy Megilley and her family visited Walt Disney World, Florida: “On visiting the Epcot centre, we were horrified to see a solitary dolphin in a very small, barren tank. We had avoided SeaWorld and other such attractions, because we object to the keeping of sea mammals in captivity, so were very upset to have this forced upon us.”

On returning home, Izzy found out that there are 3 dolphins at Epcot who partake in expensive dolphin swims. She contacted Disney and a representative told her that the dolphins are kept mainly for research, education and “not for profit.” In a letter from the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), following an FOIA request, Izzy was informed that the Disney Dolphins are not in the facility for scientific research. The letter stated, “Disney does not, and has not, held dolphins for scientific research purposes.”

Upon further investigation, she discovered that Disney Cruise Line also offers captive dolphin swim-with experiences, including a ‘dance, hug and kiss’ costing as much as $300 per person. Subsequently, Izzy started Save the Disney Dolphins (SADD), a movement to end Disney’s captive marine mammal programs.

Dolphins are wide-ranging, deep-diving, highly social and highly intelligent marine mammals. Everything that we’ve learned about them tells us that they don’t belong in concrete tanks.

SADD together with Dolphin Project, are asking Disney to retire the captive dolphins at Epcot, and to cease sales to any captive dolphin programs on Disney cruises. I, too call on you to show true leadership and ask that Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line to end all ties to captive dolphin industry.

Sincerely,

Watch: 6 injured as giant wave sweeps across Miami Beach pier

www.foxweather.com

Six people suffered minor injuries as water rushed across the South Point Park Pier, knocking some into the metal railing and others into the bay.

Scott Sistek

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A massive wave amid rough surf swept several people across a Miami Beach sidewalk Friday morning.

Six people suffered minor injuries as water rushed across the South Point Park Pier, knocking some into the metal railing and others into the bay, according to WSVN-TV. Ocean Rescue units jumped into the water to save the people who fell in and were pushed into the rocks, WSVN said.

Officials had warned beachgoers to stay out of the water due to heavy surf conditions.

The National Weather Service in Miami had issued a High Surf Advisory for the area for waves as high as 5-7 feet, plus higher than usual king tides were in effect.

Crews closed off the pier for the rest of the day.

Petition: Save Marine Habitats From Becoming World’s Trash Bin – ForceChange

forcechange.com

Tiffany White

Target: Pirkka Tapiola, Chair of United Nations Environment Programme

Goal: Commit to reducing plastic pollution on global level.

Nearly ninety percent of water-dwelling organisms have suffered under the scourge of plastic invading oceans, rivers, and more. In just a few decades, these dangerous materials will likely quadruple in the oceans because of unrestrained human waste. As a result, marine animals will continue to choke, suffocate, and be poisoned by this garbage. Some of these already-endangered species will never recover.

A key meeting of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) recently concluded with an agreement to work on a treaty concerning plastic pollution. At its best, the treaty could serve as an important benchmark of goals similar to the Paris Climate Accord that pledges countries worldwide to slash greenhouse gas emissions. One proposal put forth for the treaty would likewise commit nations to drastically reducing production of plastic from its current staggering rate of 350-plus million tons annually. This resolution has the backing of many influential businesses. Some countries, however, do not want to make this commitment and instead want to focus only on recycling and other incremental measures. The UNEA has also given itself two years before even producing a final treaty.

Sign the petition below to stress to these global leaders that time is of the essence and that the world needs a comprehensive, full-measure plastics treaty now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Tapiola,

Actions speak louder than words. The recent proposition of a global treaty to reduce plastic production is a good start, but this pledge must be backed by a complete, enforceable plan. Please honor the commitment to tackle plastic reduction throughout the entire life-cycle. Moreover, make the commitments put forth in the final treaty legally binding so that they are more than hollow, empty promises.

And most importantly, please speed up the timeline for a final treaty. By 2050, plastic trash in marine habitats is expected to quadruple. Microplastics strewn throughout the atmosphere pose a clear and present danger to the health of land-dwellers as well. Every year, month, day, and hour without firm dedication to stop the plastic onslaught is a lost moment where millions of living beings are at dire risk. This treaty deserves urgency.

Do not let species from the essential plankton to the magnificent beluga whale disappear forever.

Sincerely,

Sign Petition: She Shot and Skinned an Innocent Dog, Posing Happily With Its Corpse

www.thepetitionsite.com

  • by: Care2 Team
  • recipient: Flathead County Sheriff’s Office

When a Montana woman was out hunting, she mistook a Siberian husky for a wolf pup and shot it dead. She skinned the dead dog, and posted photos on Facebook, boasting about her kill. The graphic post went viral on social media, and many people pointed out the horrific truth – the woman killed a dog, not a wolf. Instead of being horrified and apologetic for her mistake, the woman added insult to injury by saying she would’ve done the whole thing over again given the chance, even knowing that it was a domestic dog she slaughtered.

Sign the petition to demand the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office treat this like the animal cruelty case it is, and charge this woman!

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that the dog was one of 12 Husky-Shepherd mixes that had been dumped in the woods by an unidentified person. Together, the person who abandoned those poor dogs and this trigger-happy hunter are responsible for the gruesome, tragic death of a dog that only needed a loving home.

Wolf hunting itself has come under fire in recent years in the United States – gray wolves were nearly hunted to the point of extinction, and only just recently had their federal protections returned. While wolf hunting is legal in the state of Montana, it is rather concerning how excited this woman was to kill what she thought was a member of the next generation of threatened wolves – and how little she knew what she was doing, accidentally killing a dog instead.

There is no reason this woman should be allowed to avoid any sort of repercussions – nor should she be allowed to retain her hunting license when she clearly isn’t responsible enough to have one.

Sign the petition to demand the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office charge this woman with animal cruelty and revoke her hunting license!
