Wow. Thanks. I had found Iyer in her pedigree but didn’t know it was her name. Iyers are Tamil Brahmin group that look like her. She may have been naturalized much later, depending on when she left… rules were more strict then.

I’m still puzzled how she could run for the presidency and VP, when she’s not an American citizen?

She has to be through marriage or naturalization and i think by birth. US allowed citizenship by birth on US soil. However, she likely lost the other two because neither India nor Jamaica allow dual nationality. We need to focus on outlawing this rather than pretend it doesn’t exist. However no one has vetted her… that is clear.

I recently heard about a genealogist named ?Bill Shirley? who said that she had to apply for a visa to go from Canada to Howard U. So, I wonder if she took citizenship from India or Jamaica at birth and was later naturalized. I can’t find the article which discusses this.
