Democrats refuse to condemn Antifa, their own brownshirts

Aug 9, 2019 By Thomas Lifson

As America slips into what many are calling a “cold civil war,” not a single Democrat running for president is willing to condemn Antifa, the contemporary version of the Brownshirts that terrorized opponents of the Nazis in Weimar Germany.

CNS News repeatedly sought comments from all 23 Democrats currently running for president, and not a single one of them would condemn the thugs terrorizing and suppressing their own opponents.

Despite the well-documented violence of the radical left Antifa group — the Department of Homeland Security classifies it as “domestic terrorist violence” – not one of the 23 Democrats running for president would condemn Antifa when repeatedly asked by over the course of 12 business days.

The Trump administration did respond, within a day, condemning Antifa.

  1. I haven’t followed who Antifa is, but I would think that the proper comparison would be Communists for Antifa and fascists on the other side. As far as Democrats and the KKK, Republicans continue to hide the fact that the vast majority of southern Democrats (Dixiecrats) defected to the Republican party 50 years ago after LBJ signed the Civil Rights bills. The remaining racist Dixiecrats defected when Obama became candidate. Thus, Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith of Mississippi supported Hillary but defected to the Republicans when Obama became candidate. The term “politically correct” has its roots in Marxist-Leninism and the idea of putting forth a united front against anti-communist “enemies”. David Duke is-was connected to Russia and probably always has been. They probably paid Duke to prance around dressed as a Nazi and klansman in Louisiana during the Cold War, all while Russia supported extremist black nationalism too. There was some sort of black nationalist revolt in the same town. It is stunning that the black nationalists like the current Jackson, Mississippi mayor’s father (Lumumba) wanted the same thing as Duke – the south as a black homeland (which raises the question of why Oklahoma born Duke is still in the south). Lumumba isn’t even from Mississippi, which I learned after he whined about the poor immigrant children, while ignoring the poor Mississippi children. Lumumba is a fake name and I suspect that he descends from free persons of color, but that’s another story. After a stint in Russia when the feds were after him, Duke lives in Mandeville, Louisiana. After the fall of the Soviet Union it finally came out that the American Communist Party was indeed funded by the Soviets, even though they pretended not to be. At least one former member, an academic, appears to work for RT and Iran. That guy (Colin Cavell) went to the same college as Duke (LSU in Baton Rouge) and grew up in Baton Rouge near where Duke lives now. None of it is far from Hyde-Smith’s home, because Louisiana is a boot shape into Mississippi. Cavell also worked as an editor for major NY newspapers, according to his bio. I think he edited the NY Times during the Cold War. He is now teaching in either W. Virginia or Kentucky – I forget which, but I think W. Virginia.
