According to neighbors, the man who killed 17 people and injured up to 50 others in Parkland, Florida this week, got his start hurting animals. Neighbor say he often attempted to kill their livestock.
Classmates claimed that he was obsessed with violence against animals and had an Instagram filled what post of dead creatures. Studies show those that commit animal abuse are much more likely to resort to violence against humans.
In fact between 49% and 71% of women who experience domestic abuse report that their pets have been threatened, harmed and or killed.
When investigators examined school shootings that took place across the country between 1988 and 2012, they found that nearly 50% involved perpetrators who had previously committed and acts of animal cruelty.
Tiger Temple Co Ltd is a known abusive group in Thailand who tortures and kills tigers in their cage. They were shut down but are now trying to open again under a new name Golden Tiger (Thailand) Co Ltd. Animal cruelty against the Tigers was a riff at the center where 50% of the Tigers were in cages or enclosures less than 20 sqm per animal, and many showed signs of stress, including pacing and tail biting.
A poor hound dog named Sami was found hobbling along the road in Florida, after apparently suffering many months of starvation and animal attacks in the woods. It appears that some hunters threw her out of a car because she wouldn’t hunt they left her for dead.
