Boycott PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, A Dog Eating Nation!
Dec 27, 2017 — Time has reported on December 20 that “The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, are facing a hurdle before the games begin on Feb. 9: lackluster ticket sales.” This article doesn’t mention dog and cat meat cruelty as one of the factors for the low ticket sales but we hope that it at least played a small part. Now the ticket sales have surpassed 60% but it is still well below their expectation.

  1. Loss of profits is one of the most effective tactics in fighting animal abuse. I’m not sure if animal rights is behind the tepid response, but I would like the Olympics backers to think so. Creating lack of demand for the products of animal abuse would end most of it.

  2. The Korean Olympics are an opportunity for the two Koreas to resist the Trump Administrations’s push to revive the Korean War. No living being benefits from a nuclear war. This is not the time for vegans to join right-wing politicians’ call to boycott the Olympics.
