Petition · Rhode Island State General Assembly: A change in the current animal welfare law in Rhode Island · Change.org

In Warwick Rhode Island, 6 or more Pitbull type dogs, who are single coated dogs, are heavily changed and forced to live outside tied to a doghouse be fine and abandoned house, in the brutal winter weather. The owner/ breeder of the dogs, who lives all property, has stated that he is condition these dogs to hunt wild boar in Georgia. Currently, Rhode Island general law, regarding Animal Care, allows for a hunting dog exemption and this owner is very aware of this loophole. This means anyone stating the dogs are being raised or condition for hunting, is exempt from protecting them from extreme cold or heat.

  1. So they don’t care any more for their dogs than they do for the wild boars. And there is always a loophole in animal welfare laws. So convenient and so cynical.
