Both Bill and Hillary have blamed the loss on the FBI. While this is becoming a popular trope among the Democratic establishment, it’s a terrible excuse for Hillary’s loss. First off, the FBI investigation into the Clinton email mess was admittedly a bit…

The domestic terrorist group Black Lives Matter should never be something we allow to flourish, but under Obama, the group is stronger than ever.
In a recent report, Walmart has officially chosen to side with Black Lives Matter as they will immediately begin selling their branded apparel and other related items. The items will be endless, including ball caps, t-shirts, hoodies, posters, planners, and many other things.
Walmart has made their agenda quite clear to its consumers. They have made no attempt to explain, excuse or rescind their partnership with the terrorist group.
It is also important to remember that Walmart refuses to make cakes with “Blue Lives Matter” on them, they have banned selling anything with the Confederate flag, and they are progressively removing Christian apparel because it is “offensive” to many.
This Christmas, buy American and buy it from your local…

Russia’s ambassador to Turkey has been assassinated by an off-duty police officer in front of terrified witnesses allegedly in retaliation for the crisis in Aleppo.
The gunman -smartly dressed in a black suit and tie – reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” and said in Turkish “We die in Aleppo, you die here” after shooting Ambassador Andrei Karlov in the back.
The attacker was fatally shot by police after killing Mr Karlov and wounding three others in what Russia’s Foreign Ministry has called “an act of terrorism”.
Mr Karlov, 62, was delivering a speech at an art gallery in the capital of Ankara when he was shot from behind in an attack caught on camera, and then shot at least once more at close range as he lay on the floor.
The gunman – identified by Turkish officials as Mevlut Mert Altıntas – was a police officer who used…

The REAL Bitter Clingers!
Barack Obama once insulted Americans as being ‘bitter clingers.’ He said they clung to their guns, religion and anti-immigration sentiment as a way to express their frustrations. Hillary later referred to such Americans as ‘deplorable.’ These out of touch statements foreshadowed the election of Trump, because it revealed Hillary and Obama’s contempt for roughly fifty percent of Americans. It showed how the elite were actively working against those Americans who still want freedom and the Constitution. Hillary and Obama instead promoted gun control, an open hemisphere and bigger government.
The globalist oligarchy, including their corporate media arms, have now become the bitter clingers. They continue to lose power and influence and they can’t stand it. The fake news mainstream media have been revealed to be nothing but shrill propaganda organs. People are going elsewhere to find the truth. The status quo politicians are desperately clinging to…

Vladimir Putin has had enough of being accessed of “hacking the US presidential election.”
In his statement Friday, Putin also warned that Obama’s threat to “retaliate” to the alleged Russian hack is “against both American and international law,”and that if Obama had proof, he should show it or shut up.
Putin, well-aware of Hillary, Obama, and the Democrats blaming him for their election loss, has issued a statement to Obama that should quickly send him looking for his safe space.
Following Putin’s threat, Obama carried out an action that sums up his entire presidency: he went on vacation and is now hiding.
Obama is spending the next two weeks in Hawaii to play golf and avoid the press after Putin told Obama to show proof or keep his mouth quiet.
Obama is a very, very weak president. He will go down as one…

9:30am CT Monday in the WordPress Twilight Zone, 19 December 2016.
I’ve never seen Stats this low for this site, even as early as it is now. But this is a Monday! Granted, it is just 5 working days until Christmas, 4 until Christmas Eve. WordPress has made more irritating design changes again, but surely that’s not the only cause of decline. According to WordPress Stats, only 7 “Views” so far this date of posting here at Lantern Timeglass Journal. Normal on a slow day might be 10 per hour, a good day closer to 60 per hour, and an excellent day about 400 per hour. To be less than 1 per hour has never before happened – not even on a holiday.
According to StatCounter, I also use for this site, only 5 “Visitors” so far. The difference of 2 with WordPress are people using means to access Internet…

The holiday stats went up and down, you read…or chose not to read… the end of year report from WordPress. You may have looked with longing at the likes/comments/followers of other blogs…or you may not actually give a hoot how anyone else is doing in comparison. Stats, after all, are notoriously inaccurate.
The rumour is that any views via the Reader don’t show in your page views. Nor will a reblogged or tweeted post that can be read in entirety on another site…or those who read in email and don’t have to visit… And then there are all the ‘likes’ on posts that were never actually read and the imported followers that come from other accounts and have never set a digital foot on your blog… There are even inconsistencies within the stats on your page, so chances are that if you do look, you take them with a large…

Learning your way around WordPress can take a while, especially if you are not of the tech-savvy branch of bloggers. After several years here, I am still learning all the time, mostly by trial and error, both the technical stuff and the things that should be commonsense but are so obvious they get overlooked. Below are a handful of ideas that can save you time and space, make your site easier to use… and save your blog from disaster.
Note: I’m a stick-in-the-mud where the blog is concerned and still prefer the old Classic Editor, so any directions below will be working from that. To access the Classic dashboard, hover over My Sites top left and select Site Admin from the drop-down. Clicking ‘my sites’ takes you to the new dashboard. I am not sure this works for everyone, but you can also access it via the ‘Meta’ menu on…

Another year of blogging is almost over and while we are all caught up with the Christmas spirit, why not give a few useful gifts to your blog this year? These are all things that frustrate me (I have posted about them before) and other bloggers.
Add contact details:
Whether you put an email address in the sidebar, use the forwarding email that is available with a WordPress blog or use a contact form that can be put in with one click (in the ‘old’ editor at least) by pressing the Add Contact Form... Please make sure you can be contacted by other bloggers who might want to invite you for a guest post, literary agents, Hollywood or the committee of the Booker Prize.
Link your blog to your Twitter account:

Center for Biological Diversity News Release
California Wolf Plan Sets Road Map for Conserving Small Population
Two Breeding Pairs for Two Straight Years Could Trigger Reduced Protections
SAN FRANCISCO— The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has released its final plan to guide conservation and management of a small population of gray wolves well into the future. One of the strengths of the plan, which was released late Tuesday, is its emphasis on nonlethal methods to deter conflicts with livestock. But it would also seek to reduce wolves’ federal protection status from “endangered” to “threatened” when the population reaches a threshold of only two breeding pairs for two consecutive years — far fewer than what independent scientists say is needed for a secure population.

81% already have felonies
Illegal immigrants with criminal records, the deportation priority of President-elect Trump, total at least 820,000, with most having felony and serious misdemeanor convictions, according to a new report.
Some estimates have suggested up to two million criminal illegals, but the numbers cited by the Center for Immigration Studies still show an enormous group larger than the populations of four states, Alaska, North Dakota, Vermont or Wyoming.
The immigration think tank cited numbers from the Urban Institute. That group downplayed the crimes and also questioned deporting any of those who are parents of children who might get left behind.
WASHINGTON (AP) — And you thought Election Day was in November.
Electors are set to gather in every state on Monday to formally elect Donald Trump president even as anti-Trump forces try one last time to deny him the White House.
Protests are planned for state capitals, but they are unlikely to persuade the Electoral College to dump Trump. An Associated Press survey of electors found very little appetite to vote for alternative candidates.
Republican electors say they have been deluged with emails, phone calls and letters urging them not to support Trump. Many of the emails are part of coordinated campaigns.
“The letters are actually quite sad,” said Lee Green, a Republican elector from North Carolina. “They are generally freaked out. They honestly believe the propaganda. They believe our nation is being taken over by a dark and malevolent force.”
Wirt A. Yerger Jr., a Republican elector…

Soft and chewy thick peanut butter cookies that are slightly crispy on the outside and fudgy on the inside! Only one bowl and four common ingredients needed to make this quick recipe.
The last 7 days have been a whirlwind of thoughts, emotions, new opportunities, and changes on the horizon. All week I’ve wanted to share this recipe, but my brain was too jumpy and distracted for me to sit down and commit to writing a blog post. Last Saturday, on a whim, I applied to a part time position in recreation therapy (which is what I do in “real” life, when I’m not blogging or being mommy). Tuesday I got a call and an interview was scheduled. Thursday (yesterday) was the interview, and today I received an offer (yay! and phew!). In the middle of all this hullabaloo we also got our first substantial snowfall of the season. If…
