Save Manatees From a Record Number of Boat Collision Deaths

Manatees are being killed by boats at a record rate this year. If protections aren’t increased, this animal could soon become extinct. Sign our petition to demand that boating be restricted to stop these unnecessary deaths.

  1. Boat strike is a big – and worsening – problem for manatees. They are very vulnerable – docile, friendly and inquisitive. On Abaco we have introduced yellow Manatee warning signs in boat channels etc. Sadly many still show propeller marks (not aware of any fatalities). But in densely populated places I guess publicity and signs just aren’t enough, sadly.
