The Commission of Evil

Exposing the Big Game

The Commission of Evil
Stephen Capra

In a crowded room at the Santa Fe Community College last Thursday, we were witness to the latest failure of a commission designed to support and enhance wildlife in our state. The question before them was the continued use of Ted Turner’s ranch as a staging area for the release of the Mexican wolf.

This commission was clearly wary, after an earlier meeting in November on this subject; they found themselves shouted down by citizens, who were disgusted by the commission’s actions, and their determination to slaughter all wolves in our state. This time they took great strides to state that wolves were here to stay, that really the issue here was a technicality; one that their arcane system sadly could not support, but, hey, we can find a way forward at a later date.

Translation: we will defuse the situation now, and continue…

Inside the US agency charged with killing a ‘mindboggling’ number of animals

GarryRogers Nature Conservation

“Wildlife Services funds the lethal control methods, but they don’t fund the nonlethal,” says Fox. “That in and of itself disincentivizes nonlethal methods, and incentivizes the reliance on the federal government for predator control. The reliance on an agency for that kind of subsidy is really, really hard to counter.”

GR:  The policies of the U. S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Service demonstrate the way American land-use agencies place the interests of ranchers first and the interests of wildlife and the land second. It is clear now that as long as land managers must fear politicians controlled by special interests such as the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (, and the National Livestock Producers Association (, there can be no safety for wildlife and its habitats.  Of course, the destruction of nature by its appointed stewards is not limited to America; human governments worldwide conduct it…

Gas-Chambers for unwanted Dogs in U.S., too!…dAnimalShelter

USDA: Get Rid of the Gas Chamber! Gas chamber euthanasia is a barbaric practice that’s still legal in most states. Take action now! Goal: 30,000 • Progress: 20,167

Dogs with red lines around their neck have to go as next in the barbaric, archaic, absolutely in-human gas-chamber.

Sponsored by: The Animal Rescue Site Many animal shelters in America are still using the archaic and cruel gas chamber euthanization method. This practice involves putting animals into a small room and unleashing deadly carbon monoxide gas, which eventually suffocates them. There have been reports of animals becoming extremely unsettled and crying during this process.
The most widely-accepted method of euthanasia in the United States is the injection of sodium pentobarbital — a substance that can quickly and painlessly end an animal’s life. With this information in mind, there is simply no reason…

A police dog who specialises in sniffing out money came to the aid of a desperate elderly Viennese couple who had mislaid their life savings and feared they had been stolen.

After the couple had turned their apartment upside down looking for the several thousand euros, police dog Evita de La Basse Autriche was called and “within minutes” came up trumps – finding the cash stashed away inside a box in a kitchen cupboard, Austrian police said on Tuesday.

The couple, who live in Floridsdorf, told police they wanted to take the cash to the bank and panicked when they couldn’t find it.

Search called off for Marines missing since helicopter crash off Hawaii

Nwo Report

REUTERS/U.S. Coast Guard/Petty Officer 1st Class Levi Read/Handout via ReutersThe U.S. Coast Guard said on Tuesday it had halted its search for 12 Marines who have been missing since two military helicopters collided last week off Hawaii’s Oahu island.

The Coast Guard said that as of sunset on Tuesday evening, when the effort was formally called off, some 40,000 square nautical miles of ocean had been searched, along with shorelines.

“A decision to suspend searching without finding survivors is extremely difficult given the depth of its impact and I know I speak for the entire Coast Guard when I say our thoughts and prayers are with Marine Corps helicopter squadron and particularly with families and loved ones of those missing,” Captain Jim Jenkins, acting commander of the Coast Guard’s 14th District, said.

The Coast Guard would support any future search operations Marine Corps might want to launch, he added.

Animal Communicators Prove it’s Possible to Hear an Animal’s Thoughts - by F. Kaskais

Animal Communicator

by Makia Freeman, Contributor, Waking Times

Many animal communicators have demonstrated that is is possible to fully communicate with animals (just as with people), hearing their words & thoughts in a telepathic or energetic way.

Animal communicators are people who can fully communicate with an animal just as they would with a normal human person. The communication is telepathic and 2-way; the animal communicators can both “speak” (by sending thought out towards the animal) and “hear” (by receiving thought in from the animal). Animal communicators have most likely existed for a long time, probably in every single culture in the world. It is only in our modern Western materialistic culture, which has been influenced by mainstream institutions of religion and science based on perceiving a reality of separateness, that such a possibility seems so outlandish. However, as the following examples show, animal communication, also known as interspecies communication, is a very real phenomenon. These animal…

Letting dogs play with sticks is ‘dangerous’, top vet warns pet owners - by F. Kaskais

Vet SchoolVets examine a dog.

Vets have warned that playing fetch with sticks can result in nasty injuries for dogs.

Throwing sticks for dogs can be “dangerous” and cause “horrific injuries”, a leading vet has warned pet owners.

Grace Webster, president of the British Veterinary Association in Scotland, said the alert followed a increase in the number of dogs hurt while playing the traditional game of ‘fetch’.

She told The Times: “Throwing sticks for your dog can be dangerous and lead to horrific injuries that can be very distressing for both you and your dog, such as causing cuts to their mouths and tongues or, as in this case, getting the stick lodged in their throat.”

“Even when the initial wound is treated, splinters of wood have often got stuck and require subsequent operations.”

She said many of the injuries happen when a dog attempts to pick up…

Dear Mark,

The fate of hammerhead, silky and thresher sharks is in our hands.

In the next few weeks, six nations will be gathering at an international meeting to decide whether to increase protections for these magnificent creatures.

In the past, my country of Costa Rica has led the way in the international protection of sharks. And I need you to take one simple action to further this protection.

Please sign my petition asking Costa Rica to lead the way at the Convention on Migratory Species meeting and support increased protective status for these shark species.

‎I’ve been blessed with being able to swim in schools of hammerheads, silkies and threshers in the Pacific. It was one of those moments of a lifetime. And my goal is to protect the sharks and the oceans for future generations.

Can you join me by signing my petition?

Justice for Cat Shot to Death By Cop

An eight-pound house cat was allegedly shot to death by a cop even though she appeared neither injured nor aggressive. There’s no conceivable reason why an officer of the law should need to pull a gun on a cat. Sign to demand the officer be fired if found guilty.

Cat Bound With Tape and Stuffed in Backpack Deserves Justice

A nearly dead cat was found stuffed inside a man’s backpack with its mouth, nose, and limbs bound with electrical tape. The cat would have died a horrific, painful death if police had not intervened. Demand justice for this horribly abused innocent animal.
