Dolphin calf freed of plastic debris off Florida’s west coast (USA)

October 15th, 2015. DUNEDIN, Fla. —A six-month-old dolphin calf is now swimming safely with its mother after rescuers freed the animal from plastic fishing line and other debris Thursday.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Fisheries Service, the calf was first reported by a boat captain last week off Florida’s west coast, near Dunedin.
