Crazy! A Man Asks a Homeless Man to Borrow his Bucket, What Happens Next Will Burst you Into Tears

Reality Of Christ

I usually don’t share stories like this one, but this time I just couldn’t help myself! This story not only brought me to tears but encouraged me to take note of others around me.

The video below is of a German student who took note of a homeless man attempting to get money from those passing by.  He noticed that the man’s techniques were not very successful so he asks the homeless man to borrow his bucket. What happens next will literally drive you to tears…

(RENO,NV) On Friday July 25th Amy Lueders, Nevada State Lead for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), issued a directive on access to wild horse and burro helicopter roundups. Simultaneously the National BLM office has agreed to open up the “Broken Arrow” facility on Indian Lakes Road to public tours once more, including tours if the facility is used as intake from roundups. As a condition of this directive Laura Leigh, President and founder of Wild Horse Education, agreed to voluntarily drop an ongoing federal court action to obtain meaningful access to wild horses and burros during capture and in holding.

It Is What It Is

~~July 26, 2014~~

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably heard the term GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms), and have likely eaten foods that were genetically engineered in some form or fashion.

But, do you know what this actually means and what it’s doing to your body?

What is a GMO?

A genetically engineered food is a plant or meat product that has had its DNA artificially altered in a laboratory by genes from other plants, animals, viruses, or bacteria, in order to produce foreign compounds in that food. This type of genetic alteration is not found in nature, and is experimental. The correct scientific term is “transgenics,” and is also often referred to as (GE) genetically engineered.

64 countries, including the entire European Union and China, have jumped the non-GMO train, banning the use, or requiring the labeling, of all GMO products. Of all of the developed countries in…

World Elephant Day, 12 August

Dear Kitty. Some blog

This video is called Natural World 2009 Elephants without Borders.

From the Conservation Action Trust in South Africa:

World Elephant Day 2014

The 12th of August, World Elephant Day, is about celebrating the iconic majesty of elephants, recognizing the mystique of these enigmatic grey giants and accepting them as fellow sentient beings who bring joy and richness to the lives of all who are privileged to see them.

They are revered in many cultures and it may indeed have been this respect that made ivory seem so precious and desirable. The insatiable demand for ivory is now threatening the survival of Elephants in many countries, so on World Elephant Day we should pause to consider the many threats they face from poaching, the ivory trade, habitat destruction and space limitation.

So often the question is raised” What can I do about it?” so here are some suggestions for World…

Shameless? Crystal Cruises will charge High amount of money for tourists to see melting Arctic and polar bears in their disappearing habitat

  • Luxurious month-long grand tour will give tourists the chance to see endangered Arctic animals and threatened icy landscape
  • Trip is set to appeal to lovers of the great outdoors but there is no mention of the cruise’s environmental impact in the brochure
  • ‘Once-in-a-lifetime expeditionary voyage’ is being offered by Crystal Cruises from almost 23,800 dollars
  • Ship will embark from the Gulf of Alaska on August 16, 2016
  • Company claims its cruise ship will be the first to traverse the Northwest Passage – a sea route that’s becoming more accessible due to melting ice
  • Holiday includes expeditions, kayaking trips and lectures by experts

In 2008, cruise company Carnival said that on average, its ships released 712kg of carbon dioxide per kilometre.

Taking into consideration the number of passengers they carried, experts worked out that a journey was 36 times as damaging as a Eurostar trip when it came to carbon emissions, although…

Negatives of Neonicotinoids

Living With Insects Blog

Bumblebee Bumblebee The use of neonicotinoid insecticides was widely adopted in the 1990s as one of the few effective pesticides against sweet potato whitefly and other sucking insects. Some of the organophospates with high toxicity to humans were displaced by neonicotinoids with low toxicity to humans, greatly reducing the human health hazards.

Neonicotinoid use has grown in the last decade, especially as seed treatments. Many crop seeds are only sold treated with neonicotinoids as a “seed insurance” whether or not the grower wants it. The neonicotinoids are being used against variable insect pests that may not even be present. In such situations, harm outweighs benefit. Neonicotinoids have long residual life in the soil and are water soluble. Neonicotinoids are detectable in surface waters near agricultural areas. Plants absorb neonicotinoid from the soil and translocate it into the tissues and plant fluids such as nectar. Neonicotinoids are orders of magnitude more toxic…

Notice to WordPress Users about Missing Vertical Scrollbar in Text Editor

Note to WordPress Users

About Missing Vertical Scrollbar in Text Editor

Published about 11:00 a.m. CT Monday 28 July 2014

by Jim Lantern at Timeglass Journal

During the past weekend and week, I began to notice some design changes at WordPress to all of my blogs – now referred to as “sites” instead of “blogs” by WordPress.

The most significant design change is referred to by WordPress as an “improvement” with the new design. Apparently, one of the designers decided the vertical scrollbar in the text editor is no longer needed. Therefore, it has been removed. At first, I wasn’t sure what was wrong. Then I noticed the vertical scrollbar missing. I thought it might be a malfunction, or maybe a new setting option. I checked Settings and did not find anything about the vertical scrollbar in the text editor. Then I checked the WordPress Support Forums. I found many…

United States woman jailed for photographing pro-peace protest

This 11 July 2014 video from the USA is called Grandmother Sentenced to 1 Year in Prison After Protest at U.S. Drone Base.

Woman Sentenced to Prison for Photographing a War Protest

‘We are losing a generation because of drones’ says activist Mary Anne Grady Flores.

July 26, 2014

Warplanes have long been based at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse, NY. But in 2009, something new arrived: MQ-9 Reaperdrones that were flown remotely over Afghanistan, dropping missiles and bombs and unleashing terror.

Organizers in Upstate New York started protests soon after the drones arrived and founded Upstate Drone Action in 2010. In 2011, one longtime activist and member of the Catholic Worker movement, Mary Anne Grady Flores, 57, joined the struggle. As part of the “Hancock 38” in April that year, she…

Nwo Report

McALLEN, Texas – In an exclusive interview with WND and Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, a 13-year Border Patrol veteran revealed many in the recent surge of illegal immigrants, including unaccompanied minors, are coming prepared to game the U.S. immigration system, even repeating the mantra, “Obama will take care of us.”

“I don’t usually get into the political part of it,” explained Chris Cabrera, now a vice president in the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307, “but I find it odd that their whole thing is, ‘We are going to get amnesty when we get here. Where is my permiso? Where is my permission to go north so I can get my medical care and my schooling and all that? President Obama is going to take care of us and make sure we’re all OK.’

“Whether it’s the adults or the young kids, one thing we consistently hear is, ‘Obama…

Top Agribusiness Food Companies Dumping Waste in our Waters

Top Agribusiness Food Companies Dumping Waste in our Waters

By Elizabeth Renter

Article image

Companies like Tyson Foods, Cargill, Inc., and Perdue Farms Inc. dump their garbage—more than 206 million pounds of it—into our water almost every year and leave others to worry about the clean-up. Now, as the Environmental Protection Agency considers a rule to restore the Clean Water Act, these companies are pulling out all the stops to maintain their freedom to dump and pollute, regardless of the toxic outcomes.
Tyson Foods, who primarily produces chicken, sends over 18 million pounds of toxic chemicals into U.S. waterways every single year, according to a new report from Environment America. They account for 9 percent of the nationwide total, and they share their top spot with other similar corporate agribusiness and food producing companies who are sending waste into the Great Lakes, the Chesapeake Bay, Mississippi River, and Puget Sound, among…

Brain signals have shown that calves do appear to feel pain when slaughtered according to Jewish and Muslim religious law, strengthening the case for adapting the practices to make them more humane.

“I think our work is the best evidence yet that it’s painful,” says Craig Johnson, who led the study at Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

Johnson summarised his results last week in London when receiving an award from the UK Humane Slaughter Association. His team also showed that if…

Biodiversity: Some progress for Mexican gray wolves?

Feds propose updates to management of Southwest wolves

ko Wolf pups recently born to a New Mexico pack. Photo by USFWS.

By Summit Voice

FRISCO — Rare and beleaguered Mexican gray wolves may get a little more room to roam in the Southwest, as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes changes to a recovery plan from the species, including new releases of captive-bred wolves to bolster wild populations.

The new releases could happen in new areas of New Mexico and parts of Arizona where there are no wolf packs yet, and the federal agency’s proposed changes would also allow wolves to roam from the Mexican border to Interstate 40, a much broader region than currently permitted.

Only 83 Mexican wolves live in the wilds of the Southwest, including just five breeding pairs. Scientists have shown that inbreeding caused by a lack of wolf releases to the wild, coupled with too…

Say NO to Arctic Drilling

GarryRogers Nature Conservation

The U.S. government is starting to prepare a five-year program—spanning the years 2017 to 2022—that could open the Arctic Ocean to oil and gas drilling. Stand with us against new oil and gas leasing and protect the animals and people who depend on a clean, healthy Arctic Ocean.

Tell the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) to say no to risky Arctic drilling.

  • Sally Jewell

GR:  Fossil fuels pollute our air and water.  Overfishing, ocean acidification, and other human activities are already harming marine life.  Let’s stop looking for oil and focus on cleaning up the mess we’ve made.  Please sign the petition.

Tiger Day starts an Avaaz petition to close Chinese tiger farms

GarryRogers Nature Conservation

“No tiger cub deserves to be born into a life of suffering and eventually be killed for its fur, and other parts used for “chinese magic” or bogus potions.

“China is allowing the sale of captive-bred tiger skins and body parts. They are denying a UN agreement which calls for such trade to be banned. The conditions in these farms are horrible!Images appeared on in our mailbox showing deceased tigers from these camps. Our staff was shocked but decided to publish them. Warning, these images are not for the weak-hearted.

“Something needs to be done! There are just 3200 wild tigers living in the wild and over 5000 held captive in these tiger farms! These creatures deserve a worthy life and we want to give it to them. If we move as one, we can make a change! ”

Plumber of the Year Awards – Finalists!

To Whom It May Concern:
I have just learned of Tania an Asian elephant at the Trgu Mures Zoo
whom is confined alone showing signs of distress due to not having enough space. She is confined to only 90 sq ft with no adequate habitat to fit her needs. It is appalling by the amount of space provided to her. Tania has no where near the amount of space needed whether she is inside or outside, the place is too small for any elephant. Even 10,000 sq ft. is not enough for her.
Due to extreme cold winters in Romania Tania is cooped up for six months at a time, which drives them insane, whether keepers are there or not. This has added acceleration to the deterioration of her feet. No vet can correct this as long as she cannot move, even in the small outside enclosure. Her…

Dog Bites Man – Again And Again

dog-attackWritten by:  Heather Clemenceau

I believe in an animal Bill of Rights, and I’m opposed to killing dogs based solely on their appearance, but none of that matters to the Pit bull Advocacy Movement. Dog bites have become one of the most emotionally charged issues that divide animal activists. For some time now, I’ve seen the Pitbull Advocacy Movement (PBAM) privileging the rights of dogs over the rights of human beings and their own pets. by accusing people who are skeptical about the aggression of fighting breeds of being “racists,” ”bigots,” and “breed bullies.”

I’ve had a special interest in this subject matter for a few years now. I’m a dog bite victim – the classic “dog bites man” story, In 2008 I was bitten by a molosser breed dog that I had known for two years. The owner was not irresponsible except in not informing me that the dog…

BLM’s National Wild Horse & Burro Advisory Board Meeting in Riverton, Wyoming Aug. 25th

Straight from the Horse's Heart

In the heart of Wyoming (and greedy cattle and sheep activists), the wild horses desperately need your voice and your presence, so please try to attend this meeting in Riverton, Wyoming on Aug. 25th (hotels/motels listed HERE).  Also, if the roundups are not stopped, please try to go to the roundups that are supposed to start Aug. 20th.  Bring a friend.  Invite media to both this meeting and to the roundups.

If you can’t be at this meeting, send the media and your Congressional representatives the article about this written by Carol Walker and the press release by the Cloud Foundation that were posted here the past week.

Again, here in America, you can make a public comment and say anything you want (brave Americans have died so we could have fee speech), even if the BLM wants you to think your comment “should” only pertain to topics listed…
