A couple of weeks ago, Chain of Hope received a call from a citizen that said that a little black and white pit bull puppy had wandered up to their house. The man said that he had fed it and that it had been there for 2 days and would not leave. He said that they couldn’t keep it and someone had told him about Chain of Hope. I headed over the next day to check this out and when I pulled up, I saw a very cute, scared, freezing, shaking pit bull puppy in a cardboard box beside their front porch. There was a blanket in the bottom of the box. The night before it had been 8 degrees!

Farewell old friend: The touching moment man, 21, who is dying of cancer was allowed to say last goodbye to his beloved childhood dog.

A tear-jerking photograph showing the moment a man dying of cancer said goodbye to his beloved childhood dog has touched hearts across the nation.

Mike Petrosino, 21, was diagnosed with cancer in theeighth grade. He has been in and out of Massachusetts General Hospitalsince then but last week doctors said there was nothing more they could do.

So on Friday, his family brought his dear dog Rusty to the hospital to say a final goodbye. The emotional image of the pet by his bedside was shared on Reddit and has since gone viral.
